Anyone know about esophageal fistula post ablation?
I thought I’d read everything, but never saw that
antacids
should be used as a prophylactic???? Is this common for SVT patients? Recovery has been more difficult than I thought and now I have to worry about a fistula for two months!!!!!! Ugh.

Taking matters into my own hands!!
I went to my new gp who read my notes and stressed that it was not my liver, he offered to give me
antacids
which I didn't accept. So...I've decides to stay on this alcohol free path as it's not actually been that difficult. I want to start healing the damage that I'm pretty sure I've done.

Questions for anyone who suffered acid rebound effect after PPI use, and eventually was free from acid reflux?
My last Omeprazoles were taken August 24 and since then I've gotten along with prescription free
antacids
(first Ranitidine but quickly switched to Pepcid a.k.a. Famotidine because I feel it's more effective).

Stomach acid effects on oral Bisphosphonates
Has anyone got experience of how Bisphosphonates are affected by stomach acid? Could reduced stomach acid cause unresponsive esophageal valves that then leak stomach contents after taking Bisphosphonates? Presumably, Bisphosphonates are tested on healthy volunteers, not those people with coexisting

T3 conversion problem
Please can someone explain the things that can cause conversion problems. Would a deficiency of vitamin D cause a problem with the conversion? My mum has changed the time she takes her thyroxine now to an hour before food and we thought this would have made a difference to her levels. She used to

Antacids
Hi Do you know if Esomeprazole is too strong and will affect the other tablets’ absorption? I changed to this from Lansoprazole yesterday after awful indigestion and ended up calling 999 last night cos of relentless spasms. Thanks 😞.

Newbie facing cardiac catheterization
So I resolved to try taking
antacids
to see whether I could eliminate or otherwise the acid route as a self-diagnosis test. I took 6
antacids
per day over the next few days.

Controlling Lesion Pain
Regarding oral & genital lesions what have you found to be effective in minimizing lesions and controlling pain. I use steroids, Percocet, 2% viscous Lidocaine on the genital lesions and magic mouthwash orally. That’s 100 ml of the Lidocaine & 60-80 ml of antacid (maalox) and Diphenhydramine HCI (Benadryl

Many
antacids
contain magnesium and aluminum, so avoid taking them when you're on the thyroid supplement levothyroxine. Levothyroxine and Supplements|Thyroid ... Hi Help please I googled the above. Confused as says not to take with levothyroxine.

Recently went to outpatient center for depression and anxiety due to chronic pain. Now have additional pain and depression is severe again🙁
Then saw GI doctor and diagnosed with gastroenteritis which means I will basically have to be on high dose
antacids
forever. That combined with thyroid medicine is pretty much guaranteeing me osteoporosis.

Coffee interferes with the intestinal absorption of levothyroxine
Figure 3 shows that
antacids
should also be avoided at the time of taking levothyroxine. That's something most of us know already.
