Burning pain
Have taken
antacids
, no help at all so doubtful it's indigestion and I don't suffer with that anyway. Not sure if it's Lupus related or if I am starting a flare :(

Ivor Lewis surgery + post op care
He has used
antacids
for 25 years, rarely drinks, has never smoked and has a higher BMI. He has had a resection which has removed the cancer. On checking the resection healing, by EUS, inflammation in one node has been identified as 6mm. This may be nothing of concern and just a raised node.

Calcium Supplementation to Help Prevent Bone Loss
Moreover, while insufficient calcium intake is a serious problem, recent research indicates an overload of calcium caused by drinking too much milk, along with taking calcium supplements or
antacids
, can cause a host of serious side effects.

Nausea
I have now completed my treatment of chemo, surgery and ending with chemo coupled with radiotherapy. This finished 23rd November 2016. I have since been back to hospital for over fluids due to being unable to eat and/or drink due to pain in my throat caused by swelllkng. I am hopefully past this but

A sustained higher level of magnesium may be a sign of Addison's disease, hyperparathyroidism, hypothyroidism, high intake of

I wrote about hvow I'd gradually come off BP meds and had deduced my probs were from a severe white coat sydrome - and that my readins were regularaly in the 120/80s range. Well my readings are still good enough not to consider I have high BP, but I'm left with persistant heart burn which I developed

Chest/back pain + wind + breathlessness????!!!
Hi all, This is my first time on HealthUnlocked. It's pretty hard to summarise what's been happening but here we go... I am a 39 year-old woman with lupus (SLE) which is generally under control but I am being driven slightly mad by the inexplicable chest/back/shoulder pain that seems to feel better after

Newly diagnosed with eosinophilic oesophagitis.
I am now 50 years old and it's only because I have been debilitated by painful swallowing that has gotten worse year on year and I said no more to
antacids
and proton pump inhibitors because they made no difference, that I am finally getting somewhere.

So tired of the battle with useless doctors.
Nowt new here I know but thank God for this place, if it wasn't for you guys I would feel like I'm fighting a losing battle all on my ownsome. Just had an endoscopy hoping it would inform me if I had low stomach acid but it didn't, when I asked the doctor about it he said they don't look at stomach acid

Hi, I'm new here and need a bit of help?
I am reduced to taking several
antacids
each day but they don't work. I was tried on Ranitidine and Omaprozole both of which made me very nauseous. I have not been this bad for some time and I'm not sure what to do? Thanks all x

Chronic Stomach Discomfort
I've tried
antacids
and PPI medications and felt worse. The doctors say I might have GERD and Gastritis but I've tried those diets before and nothing. They don't have a straight answer.

I wake up a few hours after bed feeling sick...
I'm pretty sure this is acid reflux, but I can't take anything for that when I wake up because I take my antidepressants just before I go to sleep and the
antacids
I bought say not to take them within three hours of other medication. Does anyone have any advice/tips for me? Thanks.
