I previously had a dilation of the ascending aorta and had now also developed a new
aneurysm
in the abdominal aorta (3 cm wide). I began taking 60 mg Prednisolone in January and am now (15/5) on 30 mg. A new PET-CT has shown that all the inflammation in the aorta is gone.

Giant Brain Anuerysm
Hi there, Giant
Aneurysm
was discovered after a blow to the head, by a wing mirror of a bus. Neuro Doctors feel,
aneurysm
has grown over a ong period of time, but cannot say if it was made bigger by the blow the head. However, I had no physical symptoms prior, to the accident.

been experiencing pins and needle sensation in face, arm and leg. It's been over six months since operation & I keep getting these sensations. By the way my hand turns purple.

Pushed out of ICU after 10 weeks because they needed the bed
My boyfriend ended up in ICU after a brain
aneurysm
rupture, then strokes from the vasospasms afterwards (at brainstem). After many life threatening episodes, and a failed brain shunt, he was moved out yesterday to a step down IICU unit.

Waiting times
I already know that I have a 7mm
aneurysm
on a main artery on the left side of my brain. So what is an approximate length of time to wait. What is a long time and does this reassure you the longer you wait/ / waited.

My Anterior Communicating Artery had an
aneurysm
, the
aneurysm
ruptured, and I was trying to 'sleep off' a Subarachnoid Haemorrhage. I'm lucky I woke up at all.

Further update on my AF
(He did tell me to stop the rivaroxaban) However, although I am not against taking anticoagulants my main concerns are 1- I have an evar stent in my aorta due to a AAA and am more concerned about that developing an endoleak causing my
aneurysm
to rupture because if that happens I have no chance of survival

AAA Screening
The NHS announced they will be screening the one millionth men this January for AAA (Abdominal Aortic
Aneurysm
). The Men's Health Forum helped campaigning for AAA screening. Now if you are a 65 year old male or older (or know these men) you should go for a screening.

Unruptured aneurysm
Hello I have an unruptured brain
aneurysm
which two years after its incidental finding on an mri scan is proving to be the bain of my life. Long story short the
aneurysm
is compressing on my 4th and 6th cranial nerves so I've got horrendous double vision.

Diploplia/double vision
I have a unruptured brain
aneurysm
which is compressed in my 6th and 4th cranial nerves. My main problem is double vision. It's severely disabling and I'm unable to function. I have seen the opthamologist twice and am now off the scale for prism lens.

Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), anyone?
Am wondering: has anyone here got experience of this type of
aneurysm
&/or been screened for it? Apparently men over 65 do get NHS AAA screening, but women tend not to unless (like me) there is reasonable cause.
