1 year on - so happy to be alive!
Today is the 1 year anniversary of my burst
aneurysm
& SAH. Despite any minor side affects that get me down on a daily basis, I am so happy to be alive and today I'm feeling very positive. Thanks to God and to my supportive family without whom, I don't think I could have made it this far.

Did I wash my hair? Funny stories.
I think my brain needs much more time to wake up since the
aneurysm
:) Does anyone else have these moments?

Work or health...
Two stents and a left ventricular
aneurysm
later, I am still here and fighting. Five years later and I work for a publisher in West London.

Life Line Screening Results Are In!
No atrial fibrillation, no abdominal aortic
aneurysm
and normal result for peripheral arterial disease using ankle brachial index. Pretty pleased with that. Not too bad for someone of 46 with FH, an unmedicated cholesterol level of 15 and not diagnosed til age 30.

GCA plus Large Vessel Involvement.
PATIENTS SHOULD HAVE CHEST RADIOGRAPHS EVERY TWO YEARS TO MONITOR AORTIC
ANEURYSM
. IN SUSPECTED LARGE-VESSEL GCA, THIS MAY NEED SUPPLEMENTATION WITH ECHOCARDIGRAPHY, PET, MRI/CT AS APPROPRIATE.

How do we get doctors to believe that moving blood clots can be felt?
Our nurse, who believes he can feel clots, had a student nurse with her & our nurse had my husband tell what happened last year when he felt a clot go thru his lungs, up thru his head making his right side numb, then stop in his left temple & 2 weeks later, an
aneurysm
ruptured - the ENT who cauterized

Can anyone feel blood clots moving in their body?
The ENT said he had an
aneurysm
in his upper sinus caused by a blood clot. It was the exact spot my husband felt the clot stop. His blood count went from 18.5 to 10 in 12 hours. Doctors keep insisting that he can't feel clots move, but we disagree.
