Does anyone else experience random head pressure? I get this pressure on the top of my head from time to time out of the blue and it gives me the worst anxiety! I'm terrified that I have a brain tumor or that I'm going to have a brain aneurysm. Am I dying? Help!

Hi Elizabeth, do you have any other symptoms? Head pressure can be a symptom of Lyme disease and/or co-infections such as Babesia, ehrlichia and bartonella. Have you tracked it? Does it happen randomly or during a certain part of day?

Hello, sorry to jumping into other's post like this, but I am really worried and wonder if you might help put my mind at ease. Do you know anything more about head pressure? What symptoms are there to be worried about? I've been having the feeling you get when you turn your head upside down, but I get it during day randomly (especally if I stare at the screen too long, but its not necessary) and everytime I lay down. There was a bunch of other symptoms, but I dont know which are related and which are just random.

Same here. It's one of my main symptoms. I find it's hard to explain, but kind of a twisting knot pressure that can be at the rear, sides of or behind my eyes. It effects my vision (spotty and blurry), and my balance, and can come and go in waves.

Hey there, if you search this website for headpressure you will find that a lot of people are struggling with it. And there isn't a definitive answer on what is causing it. I've had the headpressure for about 2 years now. One of the possible explanations that I've come across lately is heavy metal toxicity. Metals like nickel and mercury are neurotoxins, and if accumulated they cause a variety of symptoms including headpressure, burning/ tingling sensations, numbness etc. There are s few ways your body can get the heavy metal overload, one of them is silver dental fillings. But checking in with doctors would still be a good idea.

I have also been experiencing heavyness in my head. Started anti-depressant a while ago which apparently wasn't helping at all. Have increased the dosage, but definitely I panick a little. I haven't gone for any scans but blood tests show thyroid is suppressed.

I get these weird head pains that are random and last for 2 seconds some of the feelings I feel aren't always pain it sometimes feel's like someone tapped on my brain for 2seconds in one spot it doesn't happen all the time but when it does it scare's me so much my anxiety creates a fever like temperature in my head which make's me truly think something wrong happened upstairs I always worried about having anything brain wise go wrong and never knowing about it when it's too late. I have had an MRI once on my head to see if I had a concussion one time and this was 6 months ago and they didn't seem alarmed or anything whether or not MRI's can show anything bad or not so I wasn't too worried I just can't sleep at night anymore until everyone in my house is up because I fear i won't wake up or something idk... it makes me wanna cry but I cant... I trained myself not too.. life just ducks haha sorry to rant

When my anxiety is at a high or I'm coming down off bad panic attacks I get this. I think it's just what that evil anxiety does to us.

Mine is the same case. Having a 4 month baby and toddler who doesn't so far accept him that he is now in our family. Makes me really upset, also heavyness occurs when both are crying and wanting me to meet their need. Too hard sometimes that feel like run away somewhere...

I don't get pressure but I feel like I have something crawling and feels itchy, it is all over my head, really peculiar feeling. I put it down to anxiety.

That is 100% anxiety it isn't always a tinkling in your head could be anywhere on your skin or body but that is a symptom of anxiety

I have head pressure and to be honest I hate it. It causes my eyes and ears to ache which causes me to feel tired and I can't get through the day. I started to go swimming as I read that swimming helps loosen the muscles in your body. It does help relieve the head pressure.

Hi

I had AFIB (heart palpitations/arrhythmia), and it may have nothing to do with your situation, but...

When I had heart palpitations, I sometimes felt pressure in my head, but not that bad, but very "special" for me was when my heart went back into rhythm I could feel a release of the pressure in my head and that was how I knew I actually had pressure in my head.

Maybe it is something you can look into - heart palpitations or a rapid heartbeat in your siuation.

Some migraines feel very like there is pressure in your head. When I get a migraine my temple area on one side will throb, particularly if I raise my heartbeat (e.g. by climbing some stairs). My migraines are particularly triggered by hormones (first few days of period are a nightmare), too much screen time, not enough water, and stress. But it's nothing to worry about (worrying will only make it worse!)

I have suffered head pressure, dizziness, nausea, ringing in the ears, sleep depravity after being infected by a dangerous mold growing in the building I was working in. There are lots of toxins in our air, land and water. This has caused a plethora of health issues for a myriad of people. I have gotten relief from chiropractic/acupuncture, singulair (a prescription medicin), meditation and prayer and drinking a cup (8 oz) of hot water containing two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and a tablespoon of LOCAL honey. Good Luck.
