Long-Term ADT With Radiation
https://www.medpagetoday.com/meetingcoverage/esmo/100690 Basically finds that 6 months of ADT (with radiation) doesn't show superiority to radiation alone, while 24 months of ADT (with radiation) does usually show superiority to no ADT and 6 months of ADT. It leaves unanswered any questions about 12

Just got my monthly PSA results back and it has gone up to 0.4 so its time to do something. I have been on ADT vacation for over a year and a half - but my testosterone came back last July/August and at that time my PSA went up and seemed to be holding at 0.2 - but now its not. I have been going to

The ABCs of ADTs
Hi all, Here's a short video that explains the ABCs of ADT. It's easy to understand and is in laymans terms but quite informative. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAVyG_r94NE

ADT sensitizes prostate cancer cells to T-cell killing through androgen receptor dependent modulation of the apoptotic pathway

Using transdermal E2
Ronron's posts about using E2 instead of ADT have been interesting. Who else has used? If so: 1. Has anyone switched from using Lupron (or any 1st or 2nd level ADT, such as Firmagon, abiraterone, etc.) directly to transdermal E2? 2. Has anyone who has used it eventually become castrate resistant

Gleason 6 but Metastatic
Dx in June 2022. Biopsy sampled 11 cores, with one coming back at 5% 3+3 and Gleason 6. But because PSA was 20.5, was eligible for PET PSMA scan, which showed avidity in bones, so now M1B. Have started ADT - lupron + darolutamide (arasec trial, open label). My question for the group is - what

provenge in the metastatic hormone sensitive PCa patient
Provenge has been flagged to me on more than one occasion now so thanks to those. I was wondering if anyone could point to clinical trials in its use for the metastatic hormone sensitive APCa patient such as me. Considering all options for whilst PSA now undetectable ( third month) on ADT and Apa combo

Gleason 9 with mets and PCA = 3.7 at time of diagnosis
1st post, I've been reading and learning. Full story is in my bio. Today marks 3 months since I've started ADT, I just had my second Eligard injection and have completed my second month on Zytiga & Prednisone. I also completed day 15 off 44 - IMRT. My PSA was 3.7 at the time of diagnosis, I found

The Lancet - Treatment options for metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer - Comment by Louise Kostos & Declan G Murphy, Pub: 09/05/22
This is a nice follow-up to the PeterMac podcast Marnie posted yesterday. It also helps to confirm Don Pescado's claim that "the Science is Coming". In this Lancet comment article by Louise Kostos & Declan Murphy, both at PeterMac in AU, they update the current treatment options/recommendations for

Rezvilutamide: new anti-androgen is better than Casodex added to ADT for newly diagnosed high-met HSPC. But is field too crowded?
Jiangsu Hengrui Medicine, a Chinese pharmaceutical manufacturer, published impressive results for its new drug Rezvilutamide. They randomized patients with 4 or more bone metastases to Rezvilutamide+ADT or Casodex+ADT. It increased 2-year radiographic progression-free survival by 56% and 2-year overall

Emerging castrate resistance
I went to see my MO again yesterday. Since my PSA became detectable at my last visit, he changed my appointments to every 6 weeks instead of every three months (concurrent with the Eligard shots). In six weeks my PSA has gone from 0.1 to 0.2. yes, that is still low, and I was told not to worry about

Transdermal E2 Gel (tE2) As An Alternative To Lupron
Many of you have been asking if the tE2 gel that I've been using for four and a half years now will help eliminate hot flashes/flushes and the all too common side effects of Lupon injections? I thought that I answered those questions in my many trimonthly blood test results. When everything else failed

Hello everyone, we have a plan. Quick refresher: My husband is 52 and has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer after a biopsy had 10/12 core samples positive and all were graded as 3+4 = 7 Grade 2. This was through a local urologist that he was referred to after his first PSA that was ever

New results after 4 months ADT not good. Any advice ?
I restarted ADT in June after a rise of PSA to 18.9. After a few years off(read my bio) it seems like the criters are back after me. One month of firmigon and 3 months on Orgovyx and my test results came back today at PSA 27.98 and Testosterone 20. The T seems reasonable but my PSA should be dropping
