Increased Incontinence 2.5 years into stage 4
Diagnosed with stage 4 June 2020 with only treatment being ADT. Currently on Xtandi and Lupron. I have a couple questions for this amazing group. On my last 6 month Lupron injection the nurse injected the medicine very fast and spent a considerable time mopping up what was leaking out. I usually ask

Chemo for Pelvic Lymph Nodes
Hi all, When I was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer 3.5 years ago, I had small mets scattered on my spine and mets in prostate and pelvic lymph nodes. The ADT has eliminated the spine mets, but the lymph nodes continue to grow. Will Chemo kill the lymph node mets or is it more effective for

As a follow up to my post last week similar title), I retested after abstaining from sex, exercise and heavy work for 60 hours and my PSA went from .8 to .7! Considering options regarding salvage radiation.
"I had robotic radical prostatectomy in April 2019 with Gleason Score of 4+3, clear margins, and unilateral nerve sparing, (one seminal vesicle implicated). Since surgery I now have no problems with incontinence, and using Trimix injection (12 units) has work well for the ED. 18 months post-operation

New drug for treating hot flashes under FDA review
This article appeared in Natl Geographic's online daily. Because it is behind a paywall, I have copied it below. While the drug is primarily intended for menopausal women, the article notes that future beneficiaries could include men taking drugs for prostate cancer. Is it possible to cure hot

Time course of radiation effects
My profile shows more details but in summary I have Gleason 4+4 prostate cancer, diagnosed 7/15 and treated with radical prostatectomy followed by pelvic radiation and 18 months of Lupron. After about 18 months off treatment new spread to sacral bone was found on choline 11 PET scan. This was radiated

Chemo/Pluvicto or Clinical Trial?
I have stage 4, mcrpc with mets to pelvic lymph nodes and prostate. ADT (Firmagon and Zytiga) kept PSA undetectable for ~2.5 years, then PSA started to rise. I had radiation to prostate in March of this year, which did not help. I started a clinical trial in October at NYU (LAVA 1207 immunotherapy)

Prostate Oncologist recommendations in Vegas?
We moved to southern Utah a year ago and the trips back to Michigan every three months for doc visits, tests and shots are becoming too much for my guy. Does anyone know of a good doc in Las Vegas or even Salt Lake? (History - M was diagnosed 18 months ago with all cores positive, Gleason 10, pelvic

Finishing up my SBRT treatment this week. Now What?
Greetings, DX'd localized G9 (PSMA Pet clear) in Sept '22. Choose SBRT + 18m ADT as treatment. Finishing up SBRT(week of 12/9/22). My questions are: 1. How do we know that the RT was successfully executed/delivered? I understand the timeline and how to monitor the outcome of PSA recurrence. I want

diabetes and prostate cancer
I’m a stage lll patient with a tumor out and against the rectum. 18 months of ADT lupron and zytiga with near 40 rounds of radiation. I’ve been reading about a relationship between diabetes and prostate cancer. I was told that my treatment (reducing my testosterone) probably caused it to increase dramatically

Let's Talk Kidney Issues
I had a stone removed from my right ureter 2 years ago; the preceding and subsequent CT scans showed stones in both kidneys. 6 months ago I went in for a follow up CT and found a stone completely blocking the left ureter (no pain). Surgeon removed the stone it but the kidney is only functioning at 18%

On the Possible Advantages & Dangers of Making Certain Dosing Decisions
According to Pylarify PSMA scan at beginning of 2022, I am mCSPC (lymph nodes only, but beyond oligo), and am now on the oral ADT antagonist Relugolix (Orgovyx) and Apalutamide, both of which my oncologist recommends that I stay on for as long as they work for me. I’ve also been fortunate enough to

CAC Score of 477, what next?
Greetings, I always had borderline high cholesterol (190/200), In 2019 had a CT scan and was a bit shocked that it was 477 as I was very active with Crossfit..etc. That number, according to Dr. Google, is shockingly bad, and I stress every time I think about it. My cardiologist gave me a stress treadmill
