B12 vitamin
Morning all, I have hypothyroidsim and on my medichecks blood test in Jan this year my b12 was 89.800 (37.5-188). This seems low. I've been taking Thorne Basic b for 18months but just one tablet. Ive put in a call to my GP as I'm concerned this wasnt tested in my annual check with them last month

Iron Infusions
An interesting article on iron infusions and when they should be considered for the general population. It mentions that inflammation can stop iron absorption. It also confirms that newer iv iron formulations are much safer with very low risk of adverse side effects. Most GPs will say iron infusions are

Blood Test Results - Unusual Symptoms
Hi there I'm a 56 year old woman and have been treated for an under active thyroid for a decade or so. Currently taking 150 mcg Levothyroxine sodium per day. Around 8 weeks ago I started to experience some unusual symptoms; intense anxiety, fatigue, calf muscle twitches (and random twitching elsewhere

Normal TSH and T4, but no endorphin rush when exercising and fatigued all of the time.
My Gastroenterologist cannot find any particular source of bleeding and thinks I have either unexplained bleed, or
anaemia
of chronic illness. My bloods are all within normal ranges right now.

Stopping B12 and folate supplementation to assist diagnosis??
As a follow up from my first post https://healthunlocked.com/pasoc/posts/148543562/help-with-diagnosis-gp-and-anyone-sought-help-from-private-healthcare, I wanted members thoughts about PA diagnosis protocol. I take B12 and methyl-folate supplementation orally. Hence my blood test discussed in my first

hi everyone, I have just had my medichecks results for my iron levels and wondered if I could kindly have some opinions/recommendations. I know they aren’t terrible but I am trying to increase my NDT and want to have as little issues as possible when trying to raise. Would you recommend trying

IFA negative, Low Active B12 - advice please.
Hi - a brief update and request for advice on B12. I have autoimmune hypothyroidism. Following a disappointing Endo appointment I wrote a detailed email to request an appointment with the Consultant as I felt I hadn’t had the chance to discuss my concerns properly with her junior. This was granted

b12 neurological symptoms
Hi I have been reading through several posts regarding others b12 deficiency’s and hoping some may be able to respond to this post. After experiencing numbness and twitching in different areas of my body (mainly legs/hand tremors) I had full bloods taken last month which showed low B12 around 135

Moviprep and hashimotos
Hi. I have the delightful experience of a colonoscopy to look forward to. On the prep info it says that people with thyroid disease should check with their gp before taking the stuff. Has anyone used this prep?

First Ever Prescribed Injection: My Thoughts
I had my first ever b12 injection at my GP a couple hours ago. The nurse asked which arm. I chose my right. It stung a bit, but not too bad. I was given a spot plaster and sent on my way. I’m not going to exaggerate and state that I feel a tangible difference, but I do feel somewhat more steadfast and

Iron Info Heme vs Non Heme
So, Heme iron is from animal sources and is apparently better absorbed than non Heme iron (from plant sources). The two different iron types are absorbed by different pathways. But, there are real risks in supplementing with Heme iron - Coronary Artery disease and Cancer incidence increases. I would
