always ANA positive with lupus?
hi all, I was diagnosed privately in 2019 with SLE and Sjogrens , but my current GP is querying this, its an ongoing issue and a long story. She has said that if my ANA comes back neg then I don't have lupus or sjorgrens, despite all mys symptoms and being on ongoing treatment for it? My questions

Oxynorm
I'm too .... shattered... to give a nicely put story even a short n sweet would be too much right now. So in the meantime I would love to hear your thoughts on Oxynorm as pain relief for brutal endometriosis. It's helping reasonably well for me (though not fully I may add) Many thanks in advance

The Effect of Intranasal Oxytocin in Patients With Functional Motor Symptoms: A Preliminary Open-Label Case Series
I think I may have FND. I have these jerks and subtle lurches that would not fall under PD (and I have not been diagnosed with PD). I have been diagnosed with REM Sleep Behavior Disorder, which is likely a sign of something not good coming, but I am working on heading that not good thing off at the pass

Managing Pudendal Neuralgia pain
Hi all, I joined this forum to remain on top of developments around the complex pelvic floor issues affecting women and to seek support from others. In my experience these are generally poorly understood by doctors in the UK especially at consultant level and there is an absence of multi agency support

I am lost, should I seek a second opinion?
hi, this will be a bit of a long one sorry. I am really confused and don’t know whether to accept my gps answer or go private for a second opinion. My issues started more noticeably in October last year when I started heavily bleeding and having long periods and very short periods of time of not bleeding

My IBS Team Sheet – 2. Haemorrhoids (How I manage)
I think that having experienced having Haemorrhoids about six years ago that led me to be diagnosed with IBS, the relationship between IBS and Haemorrhoids could be a bit of a Red Herring! To be fair, I have experienced having haemorrhoids once since my first diagnosis, but now that I exercise regular

Sitting is a pain 😖
Does anyone experience anal/rectal discomfort when sitting on hard surfaces? I feel it comes and goes. I'm female and don't have hemorrhoids What have doctors told you? Have you been diagnosed with anything? Has anything helped?

Royal Free visit
Hi all, I just thought I would give a quick update. I attended the Royal Free Hospital last Thursday ,I was seen in the Scleroderma clinic by a member of the team. She asked questions and examined me, she then went and got a senior colleague,(not Prof Denton) unfortunately can’t remember their names

Rectal fissure - healed!
I'm not sure if this is the correct group to post in as I do not have IBS, however for 10+ years, I had a rectal fissure that just wouldn’t go away. I live in the Caribbean, have a healthy lifestyle and diet. Years ago, when first diagnosed with the fissure, I was prescribed Lidoprocto suppositories

*Never tested positive for any autoimmune blood
test
(
ANA
etc multiple times), TPO negative/low (only tested once two weeks ago - low/negative), inflammatory markers normal. Just everything on blood test panel normal!
