My IBS Team Sheet – 2. Haemorrhoids (How I manage)

I think that having experienced having Haemorrhoids about six years ago that led me to be diagnosed with IBS, the relationship between IBS and Haemorrhoids could be a bit of a Red Herring!

To be fair, I have experienced having haemorrhoids once since my first diagnosis, but now that I exercise regular and try to avoid sitting down for long periods, I haven't had the symptoms for a few years.

How I manage (exercise)

In some ways I am really grateful that I experienced the haemorrhoids when I did, as it kick started my health regime into being more active!

I love being outdoors and the more time I spend out in nature the better! It also helps me with IBS as it allows me to calm down, forget my busy world and to be mindful. I would certainly recommend it. I know that, especially during the winter months that the weather can be fairly crappy, but if you wear the right clothing, shoes etc. nothing beats spending time outside, even if it is only for 15 minutes.

I also 'try' to do Tia Chi and Yoga which is also good for my IBS.

Always here if you ever want to change about to manage your IBS symptoms from someone who has IBS to. Take care x
