Active B12 Result
Just had a Medicheck Active B12 result of 89.9 pmol range 37 -188 It stated that this was optimal. Do you agree? seemed to me although adequate maybe would not be classed as optimal?? I do not currently take B vitamins but are currently on the loading winter dose of Vitamin D as prescribed by GP

Chart comparing contents of Vitamin B Complexes
Dear Friends, Very recently, a chart comparing the contents of the various Vitamin B Complexes was posted, and I accidentally deleted the post before copying and saving the information. I believe that one of the Thyroid UK administrators put together the chart. I'd appreciate it if somebody could point

Chronic pain , degenerative spinal disease
I am at the end of my tether with chronic pain and more recently, peripheral neuropathy. Every 8 weeks I have a B12 injection for management of Pernicious Anaemia diagnosed in 1985. However, the pains shooting into my toes and burning sensation around week 6, drives me crazy. The GP is nice but does

Vitamin B research webinar
Yesterday 15.11.23 there was such a very informative Glaucoma UK webinar. For anyone who missed it luckily it will be available on Glaucoma UK' You tube' in a few weeks. Prof. Guss Gazzard gave such a good, clear explanation of this disease, and included the pros and cons of his Vitamin B research

High B12 - more tests needed?
My SO has several anaemia symptoms - pallor, breathlessness, fatigue, dizziness, nausea etc. GP says the bloodwork is OK despite family history of PA. Blood tests (GP & Medichecks) so far show haemoglobin & MCH a bit below range, haematocrit & MCH low but in range. Serum B12 is consistently high (latest

B12 and nerve regeneration
Starting in the 1990s, and continuing until my diagnosis with B12 deficiency in 2021, I had a series of problems with piriformis syndrome, sciatic nerve pain, and similar involvements with leg nerves. In searching around for related B12 information in Google Scholar I came across this article: https:

Upcoming appointment with MDS questions
I have an upcoming appointment with MDS this week and was thinking of asking them about having a Dat scan done along with having my vitamin B and D and also insulin levels checked. Advice on my results please.
Hi there, I have the results of my Thyroid tests and wondered if anyone could help me out please (shown in photo)? Someone has looked at them for me and said my FT3 isn't great but wouldn't necessarily be classed as low Thyroid. This person flagged my B12 and Folate results which they said were low

Can anyone advise when is the best time to take magnesium? I currently take Ferrous Fumarate in the morning on an empty stomach with a glass of orange juice. With breakfast I take 75 mg Sertraline plus Vitamin B complex and Vitamin D. At lunchtime I take Thyroxine as it has to be taken 4 hours apart

Endo appointment, T3 results at last and hyperparathyroidism possible
Thanks for your replies to my previous post and also the advice that I should investigate hyperparathyroidism. I saw the endocrinologist today and apparently my July '23 results (which I hadn't been told, and certainly they'd never mentioned they'd do T3) were: TSH: 0.02 (0.27-4.2) T4: 20.5 (12-
