Just had a Medicheck Active B12 result of 89.9 pmol range 37 -188

It stated that this was optimal. Do you agree? seemed to me although adequate maybe would not be classed as optimal??

I do not currently take B vitamins but are currently on the loading winter dose of Vitamin D as prescribed by GP. as from this week.

Was Vit D deficient at the beginning of 2023 loading dose prescribed and I have been taking

Better health 3000iu {75ug} throughout the summer months.

So do you advise that I do take a B vitamins?

Many Thanks

Hi I have not had a recent Thyroid test by GP but I did a Medichecks Active B12 as I was experiencing sore tongue/tired.

I currently take Levothyroxine 150 - I run at between dose of 150 - 175. if I continue on 175 I get over medicated symptoms so I add in the additional 25 adhoc r Doc was happy with this as said results on last test did indicate over medicated and as I agreed with him he said to drop back to 150 or 165. Last thyroid test over a yr ago

I'm no expert but an Active B12 result of 89.9 sounds good to me. Do you know your total B12?

My Active B12 is 28.6, total B12 444, so I am envious of your result, I don't take supplements but do eat lots of B12 foods.

No doubt someone on here will give you good advice on whether 89.9 is optimal or not!!

Many Thanks - the range was 37 -188 so was thinking it was not optimal. But maybe it better than I thought.
