Oxygen levels
Hi guys, I contracted pneumonia 3 weeks ago. Within that time I've been in A&E twice but they let me home on Christmas eve. In that time I had 2 lots of drip antibiotics followed by oral Amoxicillin and clarithromycin for 2 weeks. Although I was feeling a little better my heart rate was still racing

After-effects of a Severe Chest Infection
I suffered a severe chest infection in early September. Amoxicillin failed so my doctor prescribed a 5 day course of Clarithromycin, 2x250mg per day. This first course made an improvement but I was still coughing week later so a second, 7 day course, 2x500mg per day, was prescribed. I suffered some side

Using Amoxicillin antibiotic While taking Rivaroxiban.
Hi everyone ,hope you all had a great Christmas. Just got back from the Doctor with antibiotics for chest infection. Only just read the blurb which says If you are taking medicines to help stop blood clots (such as Warfarin) you may need extra blood tests. I know it is a clear statement but I really

SOB
Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone with any medical knowledge or experience can help me. I'm 19 years old and for the past 2 years have been suffering from SOB. I'm never gasping but have a feeling as if I don't have enough air and have this strange feeling from my throat downwards, like an irritated feeling

I’ve got bronchiectasis and have picked up an infection after a cold, dr prescribed 5 days amoxicillin over the phone. Finished course but still coughing and feeling ill. So fed up, not sure what else I can do. Asked if I could see specialist when better but GO said they are v busy. Never seen anyone

So as I previously posted I tested positive for H pylori but the gastro accidentally prescribed xifaxan which I took for a week. I was called in to the office to be told I should have been on a triple therapy. I picked up the triple therapy from the pharmacy and it includes 3 different meds for am and

Christmas shopping
Last year and the year before I really struggled with Christmas shopping but yesterday I went into the town with my husband and did really well. OK, we haven't done it all and I'm still not really in the mood for it, but I managed the walking around and in and out of the car a few times with no problems

Haemophilus influenza (HIB)
I picked up a viral illness about 2 weeks ago that lasted about a week , started to improve then cough sputum and peak flows all worsened. Sputum sent and just come back as haemophilus influenza. Anyone had this before ? My sputum is so thick I feel like it’s choking me to death before I can cough it

Good Evening
Has anyone ever heard of xifaxan 550 mg for h pylori? I'm seeing on google 🙄(I know I shouldn't be on google) people were prescribed several different meds at a time... one was amoxicillin. I didn't get that. Just Xifaxan and I'm instructed to take it 3x's a day.

Pleurisy with Effusion
Hi. I'm new here. I was diagnosed with pleurisy with effusion on Monday. I had the problem ,without knowing, for a month and finally went to Drs. I was put on amoxicillin for a week but I still have the pain in my back when I take a deep breath in and sneezing. Is this normal?

I NEED GUIDANCE
This will be a long post. My husband has gone from a diagnosis of probable Parkinson's, to Parkinsonism, to Lewy Body Dementia. At the first diagnosis of Parkinson's he was given Carbidopa-Levodopa 25/100 and told to titrate it to 3 pills a day within 3 weeks. I know how stupid that was now. That was

Feeling down and burning up
Hello fellow sufferers I'm feeling pretty frustrated this afternoon, having had to cancel all my plans for today after feeling more pain than usual and worrying if this is my first experience of a flare. I've been looking back at old posts for advice and information which is always helpful but still
