We have a little boy who started with what we were told was winter wheezing just over a year ago. After many chest infections & breathlessness being given prednisolone, amoxicillin and nebulizers, they finally said he was asthmatic around 6months in. He's now on brown and blue inhalers ceterezine

Has anyone taken Clarithromycin antibiotic?
I have been given these and have a really dry mouth and throat. I have never taken them before as I usually have Amoxicillin. Just wondered if this was due to the antibiotics or the short course of Pred that I given or anything else.

Don't seem to be improving
I have been having some trouble with my chest for just over a week now. Last Thursday I went to my GP as I could feel that I had a chest infection starting. He said he couldn't hear anything and sent me away with a course of prednisolone. By Monday I was worse and went back, this time they could hear

So I went for a consultant appointment...
Actually, last week, but have only just got the letter he's sent to my GP. On the appointment letter it's for the chest clinic and has two named doctors, both of which I've seen previously. So, a bit of a surprise when a totally different one calls me in. He signs himself on the letter as an 'Associate

I went for a spirometric test at my local GP......
And basically got refused lol. Well I spoke to the nurse about it and she told me that it would be better that she didn't give me the test in case it made me bring blood back up. Anyway she pulled up a letter from the lung specialist that I had seen in hospital on the computer she was using and

Constant productive cough and voice problems
I'm new to this site and am looking for some information from people more used, if that'sthe right word, to asthma. I'm 64 and had asthma as a child, which resolved in my teens. I've always been a bit 'allergic' - nettle rash etc and I have perennial rhinitis. I think I picked up a viral infection in

Hi I'm new on here. Had asthma throughout my childhood and grew up on amoxicillin. Thought I'd grown out of it as I was asthma free in my 20's but it came back with a vengence in my 30's. I've been hospitalised in the past and end up in a&e at least once or twice a year needing a nebuliser. Up until
