Has anyone ever heard of xifaxan 550 mg for h pylori? I'm seeing on google 🙄(I know I shouldn't be on google) people were prescribed several different meds at a time... one was amoxicillin. I didn't get that. Just Xifaxan and I'm instructed to take it 3x's a day.

I’ve heard of Amoxicillin but not the one you’re prescribed with. You could ask the dr. Were you curious about side effects since it’s not a familiar antibiotic to you? I’ve gotten that way before . I wouldn’t take an antibiotic if I wasn’t familiar or I’d ask to switch it. I’m not saying you should switch it lol only saying that was me. But yeah to answer your question , nope :/ I hope it clears up successfully !

I would just take thr tablets and get rid of the pyolori that could eventually cause stomach ulcers. Don't question it, just do what the doc says, you don't have to take the stuff for ever.
