Last year and the year before I really struggled with Christmas shopping but yesterday I went into the town with my husband and did really well. OK, we haven't done it all and I'm still not really in the mood for it, but I managed the walking around and in and out of the car a few times with no problems.
Last time I had an infection I had two weeks of Amoxicillin and Prednisilone and the doctor then prescribed a week of Doxycicline which seems to have done a good job. I'm the best I've been for a couple of years. No vertigo for nearly six weeks either so all is rosy here for a change.
Hope all of you are doing ok too.

GREAT to hear Moy! I usually hate shopping but at the moment it would be lovely to go to a small town, park up & just have a browse around, with stops for hot chocolate & lunch. The nearest little town to me has some quirky shops & great cafes but it’s very hilly. I have Menieres too & it always gets worse when I’m not well, does yours? Most annoying. So pleased for you though, you enjoy feeling well for a change, doesn’t happen often this time of year.
I have Menieres too. I have noticed that the vertigo gets worse when my chest is bad. I've had a rotten summer so am glad things have improved. Luckily, our town centre is more or less flat so not bad for walking around. We did have a stop at a cafe we like - well, it's got to be done, hasn't it? Had a very nice cheese scone with lots of naughty butter. Bad for the cholesterol but great for the morale! Lol! We managed to get everything on our list yesterday. It wasn't a long list but was quite specific so we were pleased that everything was in stock and the M&S biscuits were down to half price - got four tins of them for various people - so very chuffed!
Now I'm getting psyched up to get on with the Christmas cards!
So Happy for you MoyB, The freedom to Breathe when shopping, Bliss, mind you, my Oxygen does help. This Saturday we have planned to go into our City Centre as My Daughter, Grandchildren here from Spain, so it's a must, This is where the Wheel chair comes in, they can all take turns to push me around those Glorious Shops...Retail Therapy at it's Best, I will be doing some walking on the flat so Exercise is a Must, I put my Pedometer on...Happy Christmas to you and your family . I have been putting off Christmas shopping as my town centre is fairly hilly. I don't have a car so have to use the bus which is hard work. I will have to take my shopping trolley to conserve my energy. I have no one to help me either so might have to resort to online.
I've done some online which has been reasonably successful. Yes, the shopping trolley is a must! I let go of mine for a while in M&S and another shopper thought it was hers. There was nearly a tricky moment as she thought my husband was trying to pinch it! Luckily, her husband was able to set her straight. Lol! I'm glad I don't have to go by bus. Good luck with your shopping trip if you get brave enough to do it! xx Moy
Good to hear you are managing so well and feeling good. I started mine early and did it on line. All been wrapped up for about 3 weeks, taking a lot of space up though🛍 Joyce
Good for you! That sounds lovely - all wrapped too. Mine are in a heap in the little bedroom waiting for me to get some wrapping paper. Then I have to get my brain into gear and remember who's getting what. Lol! Have a good Christmas! xx Moy
