Hi. I'm new here. I was diagnosed with pleurisy with effusion on Monday. I had the problem ,without knowing, for a month and finally went to Drs. I was put on amoxicillin for a week but I still have the pain in my back when I take a deep breath in and sneezing. Is this normal?

Hi Mumsilk,

Keep in contact with your doctor. If there is still pain go back and keep your doctor informed until there is no pain. Wishing you a quick recovery.

It annoys me that Drs throw amoxicillin at us for everything 😡 i find that it never clears up my chest infections and so I'm back n forth. My advice is to go back and ask for a stronger antibiotic. Hope you get well soon x
