Desperately looking for answers, extremely anxious. Please help. Chest infection or lung cancer?
I am a 32yr male, with no medical conditions, and have been an on/off social smoker for approx. 12yrs. Usually I would have 1 or 2 cigs a day after work, and then maybe a 6-8 during a night out when drinking (which I would say on average would be once every 2 weeks). Therefore, I would estimate at the

Endoscopy/H-pylori
Hi everyone, So I had an endoscopy done 2 weeks ago and was told I have no varicies but have H-Pylori in my stomach :( They gave me 2 antibiotics along with some kind of antacid. They say that the kill off of the H-pylori will cause acid reflux (which I suffer no sort of symptoms now). 1 antiobiotic

Hi. I have a bad chest infection and have been given Amoxicillin (anti-biotic) and a steroid, Prednisolone. One of these, or both maybe, is interfering with my RLS medication. I've been out of my mind during the night, bordering on suicidal after two nights like this. I've had three days on these drugs

Infection and breathless
Hi I have had a chest infection following a bout of flu. I have had amoxicillin and prednisone since Friday and I'm still very wheezy. I wouldn't say it's got worse but hate the fact it's not better. Putting off going to out of hours as they are so busy and I may just be panicking... any thoughts ( I

Chest infection/palpitations
Chest infection again! Hi new to the site and just need some help. Not been well for a few weeks now, been on amoxicillin and did start to feel a little better, but I don't like the palpitations I am having. Told GP and they don't seem to help and now getting a bit anxious about not feeling 100% yet

I Feel Great, What's Wrong With Me?
Just passed my eight year anniversary with stage 4, and I feel better now than at any time since my Dx. And, there are reasons for this. 1) Two Uro's agreed I had St. 4, with Lymph Node involvement. Nope, just St. 4. Two points in my Biopsy Report conflict with each other. One statement says, "?Possible

Antibiotics?
Hi everyone let’s hope 2018 is a one for us with health problems. I know this has been on the forum before but what is the best antibiotic to ask for for chest infections? Amoxicillin doesn’t seem to work. Thanks.

Amoxicillin and gaviscon
Hi, I picked up my penicillin yesterday and asked the pharmacist about my reflux meds. He said at least an hour between the Nexium and amoxicillin, but the Gaviscon wouldn't argue that it at all. I'm obviously going to check when I see my ENT consultant next week. But does this right to you all? Everything

Bronchiectasis exacerbation - when to take sample in
Hello, I am currently taking amoxicillin for an exacerbation but as I am not improving I need to go back to my doctor. As I am on antibiotics is a sputum sample too late to be of use now? Thank you for helping, the unpredictable nature of Bronchiectasis makes it so hard to manage. Best wishes

Doxycycline Antibiotic
Hi there Had flu/chesty cough which led to a chest infection for the Christmas holidays. Put on the good old amoxicillin antibiotic, which didn't really kick-in until the last day. Thought I was getting back to normal, although my sinuses were also playing up but this is not unusual for me. However

West Lothian COPD advice form
I recently saw info sheet recommended for use by COPD sufferers and their GPs. I think it was from West Lothian Health. Having been ill since before Xmas, totally unprepared and unsupported and still coughing green sputum after late delivery of amoxicillin I was going to copy to GP but was interrupted

Rescue pack
I have various problems, sclerderma, emphasyma, branch, none of which I can spell! I had my first chest infection a few weeks a go which was fixed with amoxycillin. I had to go to a copd review even though I don't have food. The nurse was talking about a rescue pack, she said it was important to fix
