Which antibiotic to choose and tips...
The primary care doctor has offered me
amoxicillin
clavulanate
or doxycycline. Has anyone found from past experiences that one impacted your stomach less than the other? (I know they both list diarrhea as a side effect.)

I was diagnosed last night with acute diverticulitis and was prescribed
amoxicillin

Co-Amoxiclav side effects with Disopyramide/AF?
Hi, just started taking Co-amoxiclav as an antibiotic, and now seem to be getting an increase in AF symptoms. Still taking Disopyramide, but this seems to be less effective at rate control than it has been previously. No Caffeine, no alcohol, so no obvious triggers. Anyone else experienced this?

Hi,I was diagnosed with mild asthma in 20 14, but rarely needed blue inhaler. During the pandemic I fell ill with a tubo ovarian abcess which I was hospitalised for week . This made me quite ill for a few months and as a result I didn't exercise as much and gained some weight. After everything went back

IBS attack after antibiotics
Took Amoxicillin (7days) and Co Amoxiclav (5days) for a bad sinus/ear infection. Got some diarrhoea on the first day of the second lot (tried to consult 111, eventually gave up) by the second day symptoms improved so I carried on taking it. Around 10 days later started with diarrhoea, tummy and backache

Bronchiectasis / Doxycycline
Hello again peeps. I was prescribed Doxycycline for a Bronchiectasis flare-up. I'm wondering if seven days is enough treatment or if the duration should be longer. Amoxicillin is typically prescribed for two weeks. Thanks 😊

Overcoming Pneumonia Susceptibility
I flunked my first docetaxel infusion in late 2022 and a week later developed pneumonia resulting in me carried by ambulance to the hospital. As I said in my bio, I was told that another six hours without intervention, I would have been lost. I spent four days there with "tank car" loads of vancomycin

Persistent UTI's, appears only with sexual activity without protection
History of urinary tract infection I have had this infection for 3 years, Escherichia coli always comes out in the urine culture, except for one time when Proteus came out. For treatment I have used ciprofloxacin, amikacin, nitrofurantoin, levofloxacin (but there was resistance to it), Amoxicillin

Ibrance and nose bleed
Thank you everyone for all your advice and response to my issue of bloody nose and gums. I saw my oncologist and she is referring me to an ENT specialist. She wants the specialist to take a look at my upper respiratory issue that I have had since April. I will probably need antibiotics which I dread

is this what CR looks like?
Starting Nov 20 last year, I began a relugolix on-cycle. Here’s the PSA readings from that point: Nov 20 : 3.10 Jan 8: 0.31 Feb 27: 0.13 Apr 15: 0.08 So up to this point, the PSA is dropping nicely, as it always has with on-cycles; and as I would expect, since I’ve been a strong responder

Headache after taking Amoxicillin
I’ve just finished a 7 day course of 500mg Amoxicillin for an ear infection & the worst side effect is a constant headache. I’ve finished the course but my headache doesn’t seem to be going away. Has anyone had this problem after taking these antibiotics? Thanks
