Different AF Types
I have noticed that I get two types of AF periods. One is where my heart goes into an irregular beat but stays within the normal pulse rate. The other is where it jumps to around 160bpm and is irregular. Is there a difference in the two and how long can you leave the high heart rate before thinking

Hi Folks, Just wanted to pick all your super human brains again if that's ok, you lovely people! Have had a lot of problems lately, but most debilitating over last few weeks has been nausea - so bad it stops me eating and sometimes I vomit about an hour after eating. Two weeks ago was bringing up some

Second opinion update
Saw cardiology registrar for second opinion on my angina type pain after being dismissed by other local hospital Listened properly to me and discussed my concerns re microvascular or vasospastic angina. Am starting amlodipine and have been referred for a stress MRI rather than angiogram as non invasive

Weight Loss and heart meds
Hi, I'm on medication after having a mild heart attack (no stents needed) back in 2017. I've recently made an effort to lose weight for my own health. I've lost about 2 stone in 6 months and wondered if some of my meds should be reduced .I'm taking 1.25mg Ramipril, 80mg Atorvastatin, Aspirin and 5mg

Pulsatile carotid artery
I have been struggling with a strong pulse on the right side of my neck for several weeks. Was prescribed amlodipine in January after having sudden hypertension episode. The doctor says it's a normal pulse, but it's so loud and even woke me up this morning. I can see it pounding in my neck. Does anyone

Diagnosed fsgs stage 3a severe/moderate on biopsy. 1200 protein in urine, blood tests o.k. one kidney.
Hello, Wondering if anyone who has fsgs can help lessen my worries. I'm 60 yr. old female, been going thru this for last year. Dr. doesn't tell me anything which freaks me out. I've read it may take 2-20 years for this to progress to esrd and wondering about others experience, timeline. I'm on losartan

Blood pressure meds
What meds to reduce blood pressure are safe for the liver? I was prescribed Valsartan (Diovan), but information online indicates it might be dangerous for the liver. Can anyone give me examples of other meds that can be used so I can talk to my GP about them?
