Heart Supplements
Hello, I'm currently on warfarin, omeprazole,
amlodipine
and
valsartan
. Besides trying to exercise and watch my diet, I'm thinking of consuming some heart supplements to strengthen my heart. Has anyone try anything good and can share? How about products from NatureFarm?

WORSE BP MEDS EVER (AMLODIPINE)
Hope I have enough room to write this. My wife and I both took amlodipine 5 mg. I was on it for about 10 years and my wife for 5 years. My wife was having all kinds of problems and I didn't think I had any. Well boy was I wrong. When she quit taking it the withdrawals she had made me quit also. I figured

What alternatives are there to Metoprolol and Valsartan?
My brother of 79 living in a village in Calif. saw a cardio who prescribed metoprolol 50.mg a day and Valsartan 80 mg. This village has no GPs and you have to drive 30 miles to see anyone. If there is an emergency the fire brigade come out with a paramedic, who decides if you need to go to hospital

Knock wood... AFib continues to be in check
I've been working at 6,800 ft/2,100 m as a Camp cook in the San Bernardino mountains for the past two summers and roaming the Santa Ana River Valley peaks at 10,000-11,500 ft/3,000-3,500 m. A month ago, I went in for a routine visit with my lead cardiologist (I had a massive heart attack 11½ years ago

There is hope
Hi all - I wanted to update everyone on a positive experience and to hopefully debunk some of the myths. For context I live in the Republic of Ireland and also have private medical insurance (this is very common in Ireland). 55, male and generally fit. I was having episodes of waking up, bolt upright

Help: Amlodipine & Poor Sleep
I’ve just had 5mg of Amlodipine added to my Ramipril dose of 10mg - 5mg with the Amlodipine in the morning and 5mg at night - and I am finding it really difficult to sleep. I am waking up in the middle of the night and can’t sleep during the day. The best way to describe is like feeling on edge or that

My Angina medication update
Hi all, just an update. I've had a few episodes and had to go into hospital with chest pain. Spoke to my cardiologist and he said that he made an error 😮 and should have not been Amlodipine together with Diltiazem as they are the same type of medication. So they've stopped my Amlodipine. My swelling

My doctor has changed my BP medication from Amlodipine to Candesartan because it caused serious problems with my gums. The problem is one of the possible side effects with Candesartan is dizziness which I have a phobia of. She has only put me on a low dose 4mg but I am afraid to take them. Has anyone

Newly diagnosed
Just recently been diagnosed with Hypertension after a GP Healthcheck. Put on Amlodipine, and it has, frankly, made me feel awful. I've had a mobility disability since birth, been in and out of hospital, and now this. It's getting me down. This has hit me hard, and is stressing my wife as well.

Dry cough side effect of Losartan?
I have been at stage 4 for 18 years and as my consultant says ‘remarkably stable’. I have CKD and an acute kidney injury due to Perindopril not suiting me. I take Amlodipine and Atenolol. I was prescribed a low dose of Losartan earlier this year for newly diagnosed proteinuria. I’m wondering if my

Myocarditis - Month 3
Hi all, Sorry its a long one :-( I'm a 44yr old male with no family history of heart problems. I have recently been diagnosed with Myocarditis. It started 3 months ago after finding out that my best friend had taken his own life. I had chest pains and they got worse if I tried to walk or lift anything

Ramipril, diarrhoea and pred
After doubling my dose of amlodipine due to my BP still being too high, I suffered from poor sleep quality - my fitbit recorded very little if any, deep sleep. I dropped back to 5mg and immediately my sleep improved. But now they've put me on ramipril 2.5mg to try, in addition to the 5mg amlodipine.

Amlodipine and calcium
Hi, I'm on amlodipine for high blood pressure, have been since 2016. I was diagnosed with osteopenia T score -1.1, in 2021 and put on calcium and vitamin D. I also take Vitamin K2 to help with the calcium absorption. I recently had an annual blood pressure review and although it's not gone up, it's still
