Amitriptyline and A Fib
I’ve just been prescribed
amitriptyline
for nerve related pain but the leaflet has made me seriously question if I should take it due to quite common effects relating to heart rhythm. Has anyone here any experience of taking
amitriptyline
?

Duloxetine 30mg
I have been taking Teva brand
Amitriptyline
as pain control for many years now. Unfortunately this has not been available for a while and the other brands don’t control the pain for me. I have just been prescribed Duloxetine 30mg to take before bed.

Amitriptyline - Does it help?
The doctor advised me to stop taking
amitriptyline
due to the adverse reaction. Oh well, it wasn't for me. Has anyone else tried
amitriptyline
, and did it work for you?

Endo & mental health - Slip and slide?
In the end, the GP did see me and advised me to stop the
amitriptyline
immediately, so I should be ok in a couple of days. But, oh my gosh, that was major in terms of mental health - as in my mind was not functioning in a normal, resourceful way. That's worrying. So...

pain in the head
Spoke to GP on phone, she prescribe
Amitriptyline
10 mgm. All this has done is make me lethargic, but not taken the pain away. It is exacerbated by eating on that side, also yawning. I am desperate...Thanks

Itchy skin after Immunotherapy
My doctor's have tried lots of different creams, steroid ointment,
amitriptyline
but nothing works apart from steroid tablets which they only let me take them for a few weeks at a time. It's now been 9 months. Can't relax and losing sleep, my skins a mess with all the scratching. Help!

I've been refused any scans or imaging, and have been fobbed off by my GP. The NHS has failed me.
She said I need to go on low Fodmap for at least three months and has told me to take
amitriptyline
. I'm flabbergasted by this and was very upset when she rang me. I told her that I don't think it is IBS as I've not had any imaging done and have had no response to diet changes.

Bleeding on the mirena coil
I'm on
amitriptyline
which is less effective now and have gone back to taking naproxen twice daily and co-codamol some nights. I've also been spotting/ light bleeding for the last month or 2 with clots and tiny bits of tissue type material. Has anyone else experienced this?

Alpha Lipoic Acid and anti-Coagulants
I have also been advised by the G.P. and pharmacist that I should try
Amitriptyline
, but from what I have read that can give problems to those of us who have AF. A friend told me that she has seen an article recommending Alpha Lipoic Acid.

Pain remedy pack - does yours look like this?
This is helping the period-like cramps that come with spotting - Buscopan for cramps -
Amitriptyline
20mg/day taken in evening (taking these for 2 wks + now with some reduction in pain). Endo nurse advised increasing at 10mg/week until pain was ok, or side effects bothersome, up to max 50mg/day.
