Allergies & weaning
I am currently weaning my 7 nearly 8 month old and I know I need to introduce allergens early and I have introduced most things now and has seemed fine. However, I’ve not yet introduced nuts....I am myself a nut allergy sufferer and I know her chances of being allergic are increased.....I’m very very

Severe Allergies and no help from Medics
To be fair, I haven't asked for a while. I've seen 1 consultant over about 40 years about allergies, and he was only interested in people who were relevant to his own research (allergies to shellfish) - one of the few things I'm NOT allergic to. When we moved to this practice I asked and after much pushing

Asthma and sleep 🛌
Worryingly, lots of people with asthma say they have difficulty sleeping due to their asthma symptoms. If your asthma is waking you up at night, it could be a sign that an asthma attack is on its way and you should contact your GP or asthma nurse about an urgent appointment. Find out more about asthma

Severe Asthma and Severe Allergies - the joys!
Does anyone here suffer with severe allergies that exacerbate their asthma? The reason I’m asking is because I’ve had a good run on Xolair (started early this year) but as my usual allergy season rears it’s ugly head, so have my symptoms which has come as a bit of a surprise. Kind of gutting since

My son has had Abdominal pain and Vomiting for a year and a half and has lost weight from 190 to 120lbs. What else can we do?
My son 26 years old has been suffering from severe abdominal pain and vomiting. Comes on randomly. He weighed 190 and is now down to 120lbs. It’s been about a year and a half and he has had an Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Cat Scan, blood work, stool sample, allergy test and has seen an Oncologist

Anyone gets sick from taking vitamins/minerals?
Hello. I know many will find this question silly, but this is something I have observed for over 10 years now. Its almost like I'm allergic to vitamins. Whether from a supplement, or from fruits, the effect is the same. Anytime I eat fruit for a period of several days (any fresh fruit, no specific fruit

Dairy allergy in 10 week old and possibly reflux?
Hi, My daughter is 10 weeks and has been struggling for at least a month with what seems like reflux. She initially had a big rash over her face, chest, neck back however this went after I went dairy free so it seems like an allergy. However she has also got a snorty snotty sounding nose, a massively

Adult on set asthma and eczema
Hi all My teenage daughter developed a small patch of eczema on her elbow in lock down. Its been treated and is under control. The doctor believed she got it because I have asthma (adult onset) and recently hay fever. My husband does get mild hay fever. I think he is wrong. Thoughts please.

Medic alert dogs for asthma
Hi. I was thinking of getting a dog (cockapoo) to train as a medic alert asthma detection dog. Has anyone had any experience with their own dog where the dog could notice when you were about to have an asthma attack? I have non-allergic severe brittle asthma, and I'm willing to try anything to get

Hi everyone I’m new here.
I’m hoping to get support with coming to terms with my constant struggle with food. I’m going to be 60 this year and I’m tired of ‘being good or bad’ around food. I just want to be at ease with it, enjoy my food, eat from physical hunger and not emotional hunger and eat food that nurtures and feeds

Copd diagnosis 5 years ago now diagnosed with asthma as well
Hi everybody, just reaching out to see if anyone has any information that may be of help to me. I was diagnosed with COPD in 2015 and have been managing fine till this year. I was put on the shielding list as I also have other co morbidities that according to NICE means my COPD is classed as severe.

Hay fever
I’ve had hay fever for about 6 Years now. The last couple of Years it hasn’t been that bad but this Year it’s through the roof. My symptoms are lethargy, feeling sick. Some days I feel as though I’m wading through mud and can’t get out of bed. I take an antihistamine and a nasal spray. Just wondered
