Food phobia where to start
Hello I'm 30 and 22 stone my main issue is eating I have kind of a food phobia I've had therapy but gave up they don't understand. I literally only eat rice and chips with sauce or spuds/mash in a roast with no meat. Food textures are my main issue and over thinking what's in food if I could combat

Low B12 possible pernicious anemia and allergic to B12 /Cobalt
I have had anaphylactic shock several times when taking B12 supplements....B12 is low and Drs here think I'm crazy when I tell them I have an allergy to b12....I've been feeling very tired and stomach hurting and bloating. My blood test is <150. Wondering what my next step should be. The Drs almost

Allergy phobia
I very occasionally get the sense that I’m having an allergic reaction and checking my skin if I have some type of rush. I’ve had an allergic reaction to the sun twice in my life and even so it was a symptom of stomach pills. every time and I keep checking if something is wrong even a mosquito bite

Eosiniphilic asthma - do you work full time?
Just wondering how many of you have eosiniphilic asthma and are in full time employment? Does your employer make any allowances?

A sudden coughing fit that leads to temporary suffocation.
A coughing fit strikes out of the blue and empties your lungs completely. You are walking along the street and, having coughed uncontrollably for a few minutes, you find that you cannot inhale again. - The lining of your airway has stuck to itself with no air in there. You feel instantly very alarmed

steroids and digestive issues???
I was recently prescribed high dose antibiotics and steroids for 5 weeks following the appearance of a very unwelcome lung lesion on my ct scan back in June. Whatever it was has shrunk in my latest ct scan and is now barely visible so it did the trick. However since finishing the steroids I have had

Asthma - top tips and advice!
Hi guys - another list for you all 😂! As always feel free to discuss and add your own top tips and advice below! So here it goes; 1. Keep your GP informed and involved to your condition if it’s flaring (as much as you can in the current climate of appt shortages!) - if you’re suddenly getting symptoms

World Food Day - How To Make The Best Of What You Eat?
Importance of a healthy and nutritious diet You will seldom come across a person who does not like to eat. Nothing can be more satisfying than binging on your favorite cuisine. Though the choice of food may differ from individuals to individuals, most of us live to eat. It is not without reason that

Too much information?
The internet is a mine of information, and I try to stick to reputable sites when researching a medical condition, but I still am finding that perhaps I now have too much information! As an example: I have discovered that the medications (inhalers) I have been prescribed can actually cause the very symptoms

Asthma uncontrolled
Recently the use of asthma releaving inhalers has changed but my asthma hasn’t. I’m finding it increasingly difficult to obtain a repeat prescription before 30 days of the last and the stress only makes things worse. I am waiting for breathing tests, due in Dec, but until then I have to use online services

Repeat prescriptions
For over 30 years I’ve controlled my asthma using ventolin inhalers with the instructed dosage of 2x puffs 4 times daily or when required. Recently my request for a repeat prescription has been made difficult as the asthma Nurse at my doctors surgery informs me using my inhaler more than 2 times a week

Early repeat prescriptions
For the past 30 plus years I have controlled my asthma with the use of ventolin inhalers, 2 puffs 4 times a day or when required. But now I’m being told by the asthma Nurse at my surgery that using my inhaler more than twice a week is excessive and my asthma is out of control. In response I am waiting

What I wish I had known (and what I have learnt through trial and error!)
Asthma is a learning curve so here’s what I wish I had known from the beginning! In no particular order: 1. Asthma is different for everyone. Obvious now, but starting out to me asthma was asthma - a blue pump fixed it and a brown pump prevented it. Now I know all the different types and severity, and

Anything else besides asthma?
I was told by my allergist I have moderate
asthma
and lung restriction disease. I also had a high
allergic
reaction to dust. But the pulmonologist saw my pulmonary function tests and CT scan and said my lungs were clear.

Allergies: the scourge of modern life?
This might seem to be off-topic, and in many ways, it is. However we do see an awful lot of people here reporting that they have suffered allergies, or what appear to be the symptoms of allergic reactions, since being hypothyroid. Some already were sensitive, and seem more so. For others, these reactions
