For the past 30 plus years I have controlled my asthma with the use of ventolin inhalers, 2 puffs 4 times a day or when required. But now I’m being told by the asthma Nurse at my surgery that using my inhaler more than twice a week is excessive and my asthma is out of control. In response I am waiting for breathing tests but I still have to argue to get a repeat prescription before 30 days of the last

I can see you've put several similar messages on so are probably getting the same advice repeated, & these messages slightly negate my other reply to you, so apologies. However, your nurse is spot on. That is a very poor way to control asthma & even 30 years ago wasn't really good advice. Listen to the nurse & hopefully you can find a more constructive (& less demanding) way to manage your symptoms.
