I'm probably overthinking this
I deal with panic disorder w/
agoraphobia
, I believe it's all trauma-based and as a part of my PTSD. Because of this I live a rather isolated life without many ways to get out my frustrations, so they just build up... and there are plenty!

Hey guys I'm new here and kinda looking for friends, I have depression, anxiety, panic attacks and
agoraphobia
. I'm working hard everyday to get better. I've had these for the past 10 years. I'm 29 and have been in a 16 year relationship with my wonderful fiance.

I am going to Atlanta in 3 weeks, and this is the first time I’ll be leaving my city in over three years, since trying to overcome
agoraphobia
. I live in Huntsville, AL, so Atlanta isn’t that far, but i’ll nervous riding in the car for that long.

Patent and child, both mental health sufferers
I'm diagnosed with Severe Depression, BPD, PTSD, severe anxiety and panic disorder, Body dismorphia, and
Agoraphobia
. My 18 year old daughter is yet to be properly assessed and is on the CMHT waiting list. But how can I get her support in the meantime?

It beggers belief it really does - UPDATE 20/10
Had to phone for a taxi to collect because of my severe anxiety and
agoraphobia
in not feeling safe to drive. Now I have kind of switched chemists I might now be in the same position in not being able to get the T4 brands I have with Boots. I have to look into this before my next script.

Don't know what to do
My city is better for walks because it doesn't trigger my
agoraphobia
. It's just panic right? I had a phone therapy session today and i started building up tension after it. If i cancel now people might get confused and mad.

Feeling low and sad and lonely for family.
I also have
agoraphobia
and IBS and I just want to stay in bed, asleep. I will talk to my psychiatrist about adding a new antidepressant, but fear the side effects. I don't know why I'm posting this, I'm just lonely for my family. Thank you for reading.

Short recording about Dr. Claire Weekes on the BBC...
This is how Australian GP, Dr Claire Weekes, treated anxiety, depression, panic, sorrow and
agoraphobia
in the 1960s. The psychiatric establishment dismissed her as under qualified and populist but her book sold well and is still in print over 50 years later.

Have you faced down
agoraphobia
successfully and if so, what helped you the most? I'm eager to hear about anyone's useful tricks in facing
agoraphobia
? To be clear I'm not afraid of the dentist, just the idea of traveling away from my home.

Agoraphobia, panic disorder, panic attacks
For those of us struggling/dealing with these, how do you cope and prepare for situations that induce panic? Mostly every time I leave the house I have panic attacks. I hate that this stops me from doing things that I used to love. I’m going to a concert in a few weeks and I’m trying to get myself
