Hypersensitive Pneumonitis Due to Construction Dust
I suffer from
agoraphobia
and only leave the house for medical appointments. I’m also a full time carer for my severely autistic 17 year old who is pretty non-communicative and does not adapt well to change.

No matter how long or how deeply you have suffered, you can recover.
When our nervous system can take no more it becomes over-sensitised producing symptoms such as panic attacks, health anxiety,
agoraphobia
and derealisation to name but some. Every small concern real or imagined becomes magnified ten-fold: always the worst case scenario.

What has worked for you? I know that I must go out, exposure, desensitized, breathing, etc. But it is a huge challenge everyday. Taking small dose of alazapram helps but do not want to rely on it. What works for you??? Thx so much for replies!

Does life ever get easier or is that only the Afterlife?
I have treatment resistant depression, multi anxieties, PTSD,
agoraphobia
and chronic migraines (about 9 + a month). Recently found out that the only migraine meds that work for me (most of the time) also depletes serotonin.

depressed/anxious/medical issues= I don't want to live anymore. My last attempt to connect with others.
I have a bone marrow condition, celiac disease, pacemaker, arfid, severe panic disorder,
agoraphobia
and depression. I am in pain everyday due to my autoimmune stuff and fibromyalgia. I get sick if I eat much and have a narrow range of foods I eat.

I did it
Background, I suffer from
agoraphobia
, anxiety, panic disorder, and depression and I'll stop there because it's too much. My appointment was at 4 pm. That, I obsessively knew, since I made the appointment. So, it's appointment day.

Anxiety & Photography
When I'm shooting my
agoraphobia
melts away and I feel like I belong there. I can honestly say photography saved my life! So I think it offsets the stupid amount of money I have spent over the years. Do you need to see a bunny today? Nature is my favorite subject to shoot.

Doctors review and anxiety
I am okay but I am still struggling with fibromyalgia pain and a bit of fatigue, I asked for a doctor's note and got another one but felt two weeks is not enough due to anxiety issues and I have been told that I have a panic disorder coupled with a bit of
agoraphobia
anxiety etc.

Father's Day
I had to work a lot so I wasn't around a lot during the early years and then when they got older I started having panic attacks and
agoraphobia
. I wasn't a drunk or physically abusive dad. I wasn't a wealthy man who could support them with fine clothes and a college education.

Crazy thoughts and feeling like a victim
My
agoraphobia
has been over the top, knowing that I can't even go for a car ride or use my bicycle because this spray is everywhere. I'm not safe anywhere I go, I'm not even safe in my own bed. What's more, it doesn't even work.

New Poster, nervous and unsure if this is real.
I have tried to develop some marketable skills that might lead me to some more comfortable jobs/careers (like Web Development) that could fit in line with my
agoraphobia
(which has been getting worse and worse over the years) but my lack of true self-motivation really has stunted my growth even in that

A moment of clarity in what recovery means to me.
Historically, this has been a very hard thing for me due to contamination concerns and
agoraphobia
. I was definitely nervous going and am still sitting with a lot of discomfort, but I realized that recovery isn't always not having discomfort or never having to work to move toward my values.

Agoraphobia? Don't be a prisoner in your own home!
Agoraphobia
is a common symptom of anxiety disorder. It helps to understand why it happens. For some time you must have been experiencing high anxiety for some reason. Your mind senses this anxiety and thinks you are in physical danger.
