Cataracts
I have just been diagnosed with cataracts and am scheduled to have an operation on 17th September. Could there be any link to PBC with this condition? Wondered if anybody out there has any experience of this.

Results from recent fasting blood test.
During a wellbeing examination 3 weeks ago by my gp, my tryglicerides and tc levels were found to be 54 and 14.4 respectively. I have an appointment with a specialist in 1 week. I feel a little let down by the lack of support from my gp, although I have a myriad of questions ready for my specialist.

As Questran is off limits for the time being, I spoke to my hepatologist who suggest I can substitute Questran Light, colestipol or
general cholestymamine. I can't guarantee that the spellings are correct! I know what Questran Light is like, has anybody used either of the other two? If so, what comments do you have on taking them?

Rituximab in Thyroid Associated Orbitopathy (early report)
Very early report on use of rituximab in Thyroid Associated Orbitopathy (also known as Graves' Eye Disease, and various other names). That this approach appears to work is itself of interest. Also, while not wanting to be negative, it might be some time before this approach gets out of Italy and beyond
