Improving numbers
Just a quick update. Had my bloods done the other day. January saw a ggt of270 and a few other high numbers. My ggt is now down to 159 and only one other reading is slightly elevated. I'm working out, eating clean, zero alcohol since December. It all works people. Educate others. Make sure they realise

GGT 64, was 66 six months ago
I have found out that my GGT is 64 this week. Back in September it was 66. All my other blood tests including LFTs were fine. I eat fairly healthy and exercise. I like a drink but make sure I don't exceed 21 units a week (I am a bit OCD so tend to count them each week). My mum also has isolated high

Nicotine gum
Hi there, I've just joined. I was told I had a fatty liver last year after an ultrascan. I'd had a brief period of liver discomfort and bad guts which is what made me go for advice. I was told to half my drinking (which was only 1 can of lager a day), which I'm ashamed to say I didn't do, but symptoms

Denial
I think I am in a state of denial, and am joined there by some members of my family. I can't believe it can be true. I can't believe that I am going to lose my central vision. I can't believe I'm eventually going to have to stop driving. I am disabled and have Agoraphobia and driving is my only way to

Conn's Syndrome and AF
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has been diagnosed with Conn's Syndrome and AF; I would be interested to learn what medication they are on. I was commenced on micardis earlier this week and I didn't tolerate it well. (came of ramipril).

LDH High - LDH Is Not Bad Cholesterold - That Is LDL
When I posted the other day, several responses related to cholesterol. That would be LDL - the bad cholestero that should be under 100. LDH can relate to tissue damage, heart, kidneys and liver. The lab tech called me back yesterday and said the doctor said it was "OK." I'm thinking - 70 points higher

CF liver disease
My son has just been diagnosed with CF liver disease and portal vein hypertension. He is only 6 and currently is not showing any outward symptoms. Wondered if anyone else has experience of this in a child so young.
