A week later I visited a pulmonologist and was given
Advair
. It worked fine for a long time. I add I have moderate restrictive lung disease from scoliosis. Several partial surgical corrections were achieved.

MEthylprendnisolone tapering?
Hello all, I was put on methylprendnisolone after a recent blood test showed that my inflammation wasn't being controlled with regular prednisone (10 mg) and intense PMR muscle pain/swelling in knees and shoulders and back. it was 4 days of bliss at 12mg of methylpred. then this morning, day 5, woke

dreadful foot pain from lupus
hi all My niece is having an awful time with pain in her left foot which is very swollen; she’s had to get crutches because she can’t even touch the ground it’s that painful. Her lupus specialist put her on prednisone but it’s not kicked in. She’s been on it a few weeks. She is taking methotrexate

birthday, flu shot side effects and AFO update!
We’ll things have slowed down just a smidge so I thought I’d pop in for an update….. I’ll work backwards because it’s just easier. Lol, I think it’s an MS thing with me. My new AFO is still being fine tweaked. I’ve had the brace guy at my house 4 times so far. From the footplate being cut too short

bursitis and anti inflammatory drugs like Advil
Hi everyone, I am on 12.5 mg prednisone and Actrema for gca and have developed a very painful bursitis in one elbow. This is particularly painful because it means I cannot rest that arm on my wheelchair arm (I have MS) and I also use that elbow when I am pushing myself up in bed. My question is whether

New and Saying Hello after COVID
Inhaled steroids help some - I started on
Advair
but have since switched to try Alvesco+Incruse (LAMA) since I'm a little concerned about the possibility of bronchiolitis.

Pain, despite very low PSA
I had a PSMA scan in March. It didn't show much activity other than a new spot on my sternum, which we hit with radiation. My PSA is very low. But, in the last month I am getting pain in my lower spine, right hip, and rib cage. It is not severe pain, but enough that Advil does not quite take care of

Asthma / A Fib
Is there anyone that has asthma and a fib on an combined inhaler like Breo Ellipta or
Advair
? Do you find that you have more episodes of A fib ? I am a little hesitant to try one of theses because of the long acting b2 agonist .

4th Vaccine Shot
We've all seen a lot written on our site about Covid Vaccines, so some might feel it is not important for me to make this post; however, I feel that all input is useful for those who want to continue with vaccines. After my first two shots with Moderna I had not experienced more than a little soreness

Sinus infection
Hello, I am pretty sure I have sinusitis. Before my CKD diagnosis I used to take Advil Cold and Sinus. However, I cannot take that now. Does anyone know of a medication that is safe for CKD patients to help with coughing, sneezing, and pain. Thank you.

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote this post about a high creatinine result; https://healthunlocked.com/nkf-ckd/posts/147716770/1.37-creatinine-in-japan This morning, I got the results back from the tests my doctor ordered. This time my creatinine level was 1.09 and though high my doctor said I am not in

Coming off Pred
Hi everyone. First post here but I’ve been following for some time. I was diagnosed with PMR in 2018 and started on 20mg of Pred. I’ve been reducing gradually like many over last three years. I was hoping to get off completely before now but several times when moving from 5 to 4 Found my hands stiffened

How I went from 13 to 4 a day (Carbidopa 25/Levodopa 100)?
How I went from 13 to 4 a day (Carbidopa 25/Levodopa 100)? I started taking my L-dopa on an empty stomach (no eating 30 minutes before or 1 hour after). My prescription was written for 1-1/2 tablets 6 times a day (9 a day). With my Movement Disorder Specialist’s knowledge, I was taking 1 tablet every

Questions and update
Hi all, I just have a couple questions: 1.When you get a steroid shot in a joint, is it normal to experience the joint being swollen a little while later and then the next day? Like almost solid swollen? And maybe something like feeling warm in the eyes? 2. Do you ever forget to write symptoms down
