I am pretty sure I have sinusitis. Before my CKD diagnosis I used to take Advil Cold and Sinus. However, I cannot take that now. Does anyone know of a medication that is safe for CKD patients to help with coughing, sneezing, and pain. Thank you.

The only thing my neph says I can use for pain is Tylenol. Now that I'm stage 5, I don't dare use drug store cough syrups anymore, but I found a homeopathic one I like. It is |Chestal Honey. I got it online from Walgreens. I also use Tylenol PM which has some Benadryl in it at night. I have had chronic sinus infections for many years. I also used to use Flonase nasal spray, and my Dr asked me to stop because of the steroid in it. If I get desperate, I occasionally use the children's formula of Flonase. My new neph suggested I try Allegra every day. But after day 3 it just didnt work anymore. Good luck!
I ordered Glyco-Thylomine from Amazon (like $16 bottle). It's a Edgar Cayce remedy for all kinds of problems. For my sinus problems I pour some on a small washcloth and cover my nose area and breath it. It takes away any pain you have and is an antiseptic of sorts. You can use it as a mouth wash and I use a little in a netti pot as well. It alkalizes and kills germs.
