Neurocardiogenic Syncope
Some drugs work by allowing the kidneys to retain sodium and others block the body's response to
adrenaline
, which can kick-start the blood pressure abnormality.

Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy
I have run on pure
adrenaline
for decades... caring for those around me to detriment of my own health. During my recent pre op assessment for the requested Angiogram (they want to double check to make sure) and planned second Echo the nurse actually used the words "takotsubo cardiomyopathy".

Introduction
Since April, I have had throat and mouth swelling, angioedema, which has necessitated hospitalisation on four occasions...
Adrenaline
twice and now, still in hospital, following intubation for 6 days! The whole experience has rheumatologist and immunologists baffled.

Today is a bad day..
This morning, it was still there and lasted until about 9am, 6hrs of pure anxiety and
adrenaline
. It has now settled and my body feels totally whacked out. Just resting today, still very teary and emotional. My older daughter lent me the money for the adrenavive and 20/1 cream.

Child with HEDS
She is not worried about the EDS at all, but has several
adrenaline
surges that are panic attacks every day. I know anxiety is common in youngsters now, but is the random
adrenaline
panic attack an EDS brain thing?

Monoamine oxidase.
New study below [1]. Don't be turned off by the title. The botton line is that a drug used as an anti-depressant might have a profound impact on PCa progression. Monoamine oxidase [MAO] is an enzyme family with two members. The new paper is concerned with MAO-A, which breaks down serotonin, melatonin

Week 9, run 2 - jagged little pill(box)
Running up it is still hideous, but at least the nauseous
adrenaline
backwash seems to kick in later each time I do it. I go over the top and immediately downhill again, which always seems unfair, since I’ll have to go back up again.

Heightened anxiety after HF
I can feel strong surges of
adrenaline
at the slightest thing, and feel my heart ‘flush’.I also seem to have very short patience and fly off the handle quickly and easily (not ideal with two young boys). Could this be something physical (eg due to heart condition or Ramipril)?

Remicade made things worse for anyone?
I then started to get a more frequent tight chest issues, tension headaches, nausea, painful spots to the touch on top of my head, strange feelings of
adrenaline
going though my body, never ending heartburn and gas.

What exactly is this??
He says that with the adrenal system, you get these palpitations for some unknown reason, which cause your brain to send out
adrenaline
, which then causes more palpitations and it goes on in a vicious cycle.

Emotional impact of PD
Although your meds might be on you still have PD and you can feel it in your body and mind. When I wake-up in the morning I can feel the
adrenaline
preparing me for the day's struggle. Any advice - it seems it's just a question of carry on regardless.

Hello and my story....
I put it down to fight or flight and the
adrenaline
of the situation. Then one evening I felt the same sensation whilst in bed, but it lasted only 15 seconds. I was baffled by this and never sought medical advice as it was so short lived on both occasions.

W9R3: Budge over you lot! Room for one more on that podium?
Schnell. Schnell. Tuesday saw me in action in Darmstadt, near Frankfurt, my first international run. Determined not to miss a run, I was squeezing in a run before a day of meetings. Already 24 degrees at 7:00am I ventured onto Goebelstrasse, turned onto Bismarkstrasse and ran to the pretty, though small

Week 4 run 1
Probably too fast,
adrenaline
and all that. (Plus temper tbh). But did it. Managed the full 5 mins. So that's ok. Well chuffed. 2.5 mins of walking and realising the tank isnt all that full.. still blowing when Laura (i really hate her sometimes) tells me ...

My HSG experience
I think my blood pressure dropped with the relief after all the
adrenaline
that had been coursing through my body! They told me the dye went straight through, my tubes were clear and let me lay down for a bit until i felt better.

By 6 April started getting headaches and constant

First HM - Things I've learned
Well my journey from c25k to b210k culminated in the Helsinki Half Marathon last Saturday http://www.helsinkicityrun.fi/en/ and I wouldn't have been standing at the startline without all you great people! Being a newbie everything was obviously a brand new experience with plenty of scope for messing
