Painful Red Lumps
Hello everyone I have been getting painful red lumps appearing on the sides of my fingers. I have never had them before and wonder what could be causing them?. I have Raynauds and UCTD and take Steroids and Adalat successfully for these conditions. Overtime they do go away but then new ones come on

Has any of our male correspondents come across this problem before and if so I would very much appreciate your comments. I have AF for a number of years now and according to the various Professionals I have seen both in the UK and in Portugal where I live part of the year. I take Warfarin, Bisoprolil

My Story - skip to bottom for AF question
Hi Everyone I have just found this site and gained some useful information. My first conclusion is that no two cases are the same. I complained about my heart feeling funny over 5 years ago to my Dr who sent me for an ECG - result no problems. The year before I had been put on blood pressure pills

Generic Drugs
There was some discussion recently about different batches of drugs causing different side effects so I thought I would talk to my mate at the pharmacy when I collected my December party bag (Have you got yours organised?) . It seems that in MOST cases the manufacturer (generic or specific) makes no

Statin drugs - Yeah Right!!
I'm a couple of months off 70 and being a diabetic was prescribed statin drugs to correct a reasonably high Cholesterol reading. I started getting pain around two years ago, in my arms and shoulders, so one of the doctors put me on Brufen retard 800. I thought that would fix a bit of the problem. It

It says in the leaflet that it can increase the effects of methylprednisolone? Is that the same Pred I am on for my PMR?

Another newbie and worried my problems are so much less than others on here!
Diagnosed with limited scleroderma a few months ago having had Raynaud's for a while and developing an agonising sore finger. Had heart and lungs checked and so far ok - due a 6 month hospital check in April. Have the red spots on hands, lower arms, shoulders and face, difficulty swallowing certain foods

Strange sensations
Does anyone else with Raynauds & Limited Systemic Sclerosis experience this? I can only describe it as a fizzy sensation in the large vein that runs from the thumb up the side of the wrist of my hand. The vein had become very prominent. I'm unable to take Nifedipine & waiting for a prescription for

Back on the meds...
Well actually less of being back on the meds and more of a continuation of how things have been going. I started back on Nifedipene...or rather the branded Adalat version now since the 22nd February 2013. 3 x 5mg per day and cocodamol 8mg/500mg, 8 a day. So light weight medication. I've been coping

I have had Raynauds for 20 years and never taken medication (my choice) Raynauds really affecting me now.
G.P suggesting to repalce existing dose of Adalat 30mg with Nifedipine to use for my high blood pressure and the Raynauds . I have researched Nifedipine and is described as Adalat.. So I am rather confused. I do read blogs etc on this site so maybe someone could shine some light on my confusion.

AS much info as possible on the below conditions please
My partner is really starting to panic about my health, it seems to be deteriorating. I'm currently on hydroxycloroquine 200mg for suspected lupus and rheumatic arthritis, adalat 1 large tablet twice a day, asprin once a day and lansoprazole once a day for APS, plus tramadol if the pain is bad or morphine
