I am on Adalat la 20mg can anyone tell me how long before the side effects ease I feel very tired ,and have a muzzy head,I have tried so many medications ,I'm hoping these work I'm also on levthroxine ,which I think is not helping as I get irregular heartbeat and palls.anyone else feel the same

I was forever getting severe palpitations/missed beats etc on levothyroxine. Thankfully I am on T3 only now and haven't had a problem with my heart since. I was in and out of the A&E on levo as well as trips in ambulances.

Are you on an optimum dose of levothyroxine and do you have a copy of your recent blood tests for thyroid hormones (with the ranges)? These are two links:

If you've not had a recent blood test for your thyroid hormones, make an appointment for the earliest and don't take levo before it. Also ask GP for B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate and get a copy of results with the ranges and post on a new question.

Don't just get a TSH and T4 ask for a Free T3 too in case you're not converting sufficiently.

I suspect you're not on enough levothyroxine, and that's the real cause of your high blood pressure. Do you have any thyroid blood test results? If so, please post them here so we can advise you better. If not, ask your doctor for a print out of your most recent thyroid blood test results and then post them here.
