Hi I've been prescribed adalat nifedipine today, I've been reading through the leaflet and am shocked by the side effects, is anyone else taking them or had them before? What side effects did you have?

Has anyones menstrual cycle been affected?
mine has gone mad. since adding leflunomide and brufen retard to my cocktail of drugs. (stopped brufen incase it caused the thinning of the blood) after my monthly cycle of a week, it didnt stop and went on to be heavy bleeding with clots for 3 weeks. I am booked in for an ultrasound just incase but

Back on the meds...
Well actually less of being back on the meds and more of a continuation of how things have been going. I started back on Nifedipene...or rather the branded Adalat version now since the 22nd February 2013. 3 x 5mg per day and cocodamol 8mg/500mg, 8 a day. So light weight medication. I've been coping

I have had Raynauds for 20 years and never taken medication (my choice) Raynauds really affecting me now.
G.P suggesting to repalce existing dose of Adalat 30mg with Nifedipine to use for my high blood pressure and the Raynauds . I have researched Nifedipine and is described as Adalat.. So I am rather confused. I do read blogs etc on this site so maybe someone could shine some light on my confusion.

AS much info as possible on the below conditions please
My partner is really starting to panic about my health, it seems to be deteriorating. I'm currently on hydroxycloroquine 200mg for suspected lupus and rheumatic arthritis, adalat 1 large tablet twice a day, asprin once a day and lansoprazole once a day for APS, plus tramadol if the pain is bad or morphine

Is my gp Trying to confuse me??
HI. It's the 2nd time iv been to my gp and I chose a different one so I Might get the treatment I need. My rheumatolgist told me I couldn't be put on my immunity suppressants until the aids/hiv tests had come back negative, for obvious reasons. So She started me on hydroxycloroquine, adalat, tramadol

Amlodipine
Hi - I saw the Rheumatologist today and he has put me on Amlodipine 5mg tablets as I got constant headaches with the Adalat LA and the Nifedipine. Anyone else on the Amlodipine? If so, do you get on ok with them? Thanks Carol

Is it caused by scleroderma or is it just old age?
I have only been diagnosed about 2 years but like many people I think I have had the condition for many years before. Since being put on slow release Adalat and a yearly October iv of Illoprost I have to say the worse aspects eg ulcerated toes have all calmed down (plus I think this mild UK winter had
