Permanent AF monitoring.
Now I've been discharged from heart failure nurses I want to do all I can to monitor my health. I'm on the usual medication to control my symptoms and my BP is low (90/60) my heart varies greatly according to my oxymetre from 30 to 80. Because my HA is permanent, would it help to have one of those mini

Feeling Worried
I posted on here 10 days ago regarding my eGFR dropping from 52 to 36 since October. I had a lot of helpful information for which I am grateful but I had another U&E test last week (18 days after the previous test) and the results came back as Urea 23.9, Creatinine 187 and eGFR 24 with an AKI 1 warning

My story ... journey to a diagnosis
My problems start in January 2008 following the birth of my first child. Over the next 10 years I suffered from pain in joints, pins and needles in my feet and hands and a skin infection every 6 - 9 months. Each time the GP would give me various diagnoses and prescribe me something to get me through

Heart Failure
In my last post I asked if anyone could help regarding my breathlessness. In the form of self experience. Someone suggested I may have a form of mild heart failure which I have had checked out, and yes my blood test showed I have. I am now waiting to see my GP to start some form of treatment. Does anyone

Thank you for your fish tips!
I'm just writing my shopping list including your suggestions. Can't wait to try them. It sounds daft I know but I've just done everything how my hubby likes it for the last 30 years whilst he's had heart problems. Now I have heart failure I need to follow directions and make adjustments to my diet. He

Tips for fish with no salt!
I have always loved anything that comes out of the sea(to eat) but since heart failure diagnosis and being put on a salt free diet I put off cooking it because I can't give it taste. I can't use butter or cheese. So I've got a lovely piece of cod in the freezer but don't know what to do. I usually steam

General malaise
Hi, I am a bit confused by my symptoms and wonder whether anyone can help? Over the past few weeks I have been feeling very strange - a general malaise, nausea, loss of appetite and occasional chest discomfort, centred near the sternum. As a result of all this, I also feel generally restless. This morning
