Acne and Yoghurt?
I am nearly 60 and have been plagued with acne for the last few months. Despite the doctor trying different lotions and potions nothing seems to help. Originally it was only on the forehead, upper lip and chin but now its spreading to my cheeks, neck and body. My husband said to me tonight that he had

More devasting than macular degeneration
Hallo friends it's Squinty, I've been a bit silent lately as out of blue from a chest infection I had a ct scan and from abnormalities on that I had further tests and have been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that has spread. I have just had this news so trying to come to terms with treatment etc.

B12 Injections and acne
Ive been reading some comments on this forum about B12 (pernicious aneamia) and the flare ups of acne. I had my loading dose in March and skin was ok, but after the first 3monthly injection in June, my skin has goe downhill, and after the October one, its a mess. Unlike some people on the forum, my skin

Recently diagnosed with macular degeneration
I was really surprised, not in a good way when I was told at a routine eye test that I had macular degeneration, the dry sort. The optician told me to go home and not worry about it as it was early days. I did go home and realised I was in shock - I couldn't stop thinking about it, I couldn't even

crohn's = severe acne?
Can anyone help? My 20 year old disabled son has crohn's. He's treated with infliximab, azathioprine and sulfasalazine. His face and back is covered in spots and a few boils on his face. Does anyone know an effective treatment. He's been on an 8 week coarse of antibiotics but no improvement.

Duac Gel for acne
Why have I not discovered this before?? I had previously had to manage topical treatment with Zineryt which worked at first but was messy and smelly. I started this gel on Monday and the results started overnight! Massive reduction in cystic acne severity. Redness reduced greatly- less angry looking.

Face and neck acne
Hi all!! I have been having issues with white head spots on my neck and deep red infected spots on my face. I have tried lots of different shop bought creams/washes and scrubs but they only tend to last for a short time. I went to the doctor today who prescribed lymecycline antibotics and epiduo steroid

Changes to skin with injections - advice needed please!
Hi everyone this is my first post and I'm relatively new to the society. I have been having B12 injections for the past 2.5 months and have noticed that my skin on my face and chest has come out in small lumps, but it's definitely not acne. I've never had particularly bad skin before, even as a teen

Contacts lenses/eye drops instead of injections
Hi there just thought just in case you don't know that much research is happening at the moment about how different methods can be used to give drugs that need to be absorbed in the eye such as lucentis, avasrin and eylea instead of using an injection .Research into using contact lenses and or eye drops

RA Rash?
Hi all - I have a question. I am getting what seems to be a rash on my arms and legs. Not itchy rash, just red spots, brown spots, and pink spots. Some look like acne, but have hard centers and some flake off white skin. Does anyone else have this? Any idea what is causing it? It is too broad of

Acne
Hi all, just a quick question, I have had some acne while having B12 loading doses but I have broken out all along my hairline and neck last couple of days and I haven't had any B12 for 2 weeks. I had thought that it was due to so much B12 in the system and the immune system over-reacting which now

Macular Degeneration: When Does Dry become Wet?
I have already sent this post with photo. I do not understand what my Bio is and therefore cannot supply. I have been diagnosed with Macular Generation in both eyes. My mother suffered from Macular Generation so presumably it is genetic but in addition I was a very heavy smoker until 1999. I have

TACE or Y-90 anyone with experience?
I see the ragiologist. My tumor must be shrank or I am very soon literally out of here. Its encapsulated. They want to shoot radio active materials into the tumor, seal it off so the radioactivity is confined and not systemic. Anyone know anything about either of these procedures. By the end of the month
