Acne and T3

Hi all. Just wondering if anyone has had terrible skin blemished after adding T3? I added synthetic cytomel to my treatment almost 2 months ago and skin is a mess. Has anyone went from what i am on to NDT and had their skin look better?

Hiya, Ive added T3 a month ago and firstly had something like rash on my forehead. now there are some deep acnes on jaw line and on neck.trying to be patient and maybe my body will get used to hormones as mentally I feel really good.

That's what i am hoping. It is 2 months for me. I have a worse face of blemished than a teen at 35! Keep me posted!

Hi, I had rosacea before T3 and it cleared it up a treat. Hope yours does the same eventually. I am only on T4/T3.

I take synthroid brand and generic cytomel. Well hopefully mine does too. praying!

My skin began to blister when I tried to introduce T3. It was so bad I finished up with a referral to the dermatology unit at my local hospital. I am back on Levo only as a result.

I am on T3 and Armour and recently noticed I am getting a lot of zits! I don't know what is causing it but this might be it.

I swear it is the T3!!! I am desperately looking for a cure so i can stay on the cytomel.

I have decided to cut out my t3 and stick with t4 only.

I have gained so much weight since on t3 for years...my weight was stable at 120 pounds on 125 t4 only...t3 makes me tired and moody and thirsty.

My reverse t3 has always tested well on t4 only and t3 +t4 combo and my cortisol is fine too so it is not an adrenal issue.

My free t4 is higher in range than the free t3 and it seems to work for me.

Almost everyone here says my free t3 should be higher in range than the free t4 but it doesn't make me feel well at all.

I added t3 to see if it would help with my energy and weight as i was always around 112 pounds before my TT but the t3 did the exact opposite for me...however the added t3 helps out regarding my acne!

Goes to show you we're all made so differently 😊

Wow! i heard nothing about gaining on T3 yet i seem to be gaining even though i am working out. Everyone says the T3 made the lose easier. I have more energy with the T3.

Have you found a solution for your acne caused by T3? I am having the same issue. I don't want to stop it though because it stopped my hair from falling out!

Hi there, I'm wondering, did you find out if T3 causes severe acne? I think I'm having this problem? Any help greatly appreciated.
