Hi, glad you have finally got your diagnosis. Everyone reacts differently to medication, some people do well, others get no benefit at all. Only way to find out if a medication benefits you is to try it xxx
Hello Sunnyseas I too have fibromyalgia and have been taking Amitriptyline for a coupledom years. I wouldn’t be able to sleep at all without them. It is very good for relieving the pain and making me sleep for a good few hours.
I've been taking amitriptyline for years and it makes me quite groggy in the mornings which I didn't like, so I also take Venlafaxine which helps take that side effect away.
It'll give you the best sleep ever. Doesn't work for my pain.
Hi Sunnyseas, I have been taking Amatryptaline now for some months. I find I can sleep better taking these but doesn’t help with pain during the day. It does make me groggy in the morning, so I have started taking it about 6pm now and that helps. It’s all about trial and error, seeing what work for you. x
