Phenytoin sodium long term links to cancer?
Hi, my girlfriend has epilepsy and was put on this drug about 7 years ago. She is 32 and since being on it she has undergone over a dozen surgeries, a hysterectomy and partial vulvectomy. Her consultant has advised it may be worth changing medication as they don’t understand why her cancer Has been so

Oh no! New pain!
Hello everyone. A little bit about me. I was diagnosed with endometriosis 4 years ago. Had excision surgery for it and was later found to have adenomyosis too. I had a hysterectomy in May this year and was doing really well. I always thought there was more to my pain than what I was experiencing. Well

Partial hysterectomy -long term side effects?
I have lots of fibroids including really big one and will probably need hysterectomy. I would get to keep ovaries and cervix. Still I read some side effects like back pain, hips pain, loss of sex drive, aging faster. Just would like to hear from women who had this done - whats your experience? I'm not

Suitable clothing post hysterectomy
Hi, like many folk, I’m on the waiting list for a total hysterectomy. Trying to do something practical, I’m preparing for the recovery. Can anyone recommended good clothing options for when I return from hospital please? I’ve read that dungarees are useful, did anyone wear those post op and what brand

Hysterectomy date!
Hi! I had the follow up from my lap a month ago this morning, and got the date for my hysterectomy - still 2 months to wait, but at least it's moving in the right direction! The consultant seemed pretty confident that it will still be laparoscopic even though my uterus is, in their words, 'impressively

Hi everyone how are you? I hope you are all doing well. I'm here hoping someone can help me cause I feel really anxious and concerned with this matter that I've been told litt÷ to nothing about. Surgery help
I have stage 4 endo, since 2011. Lots of previous surgery and removal of cysts and endo. I now have another 7cm cyst and endo surrounding bowel. Consultant has given 2 options, 1. Remove cyst and clear endo as best he can. 2. Full hysterectomy. There is risk of damage to bowel. 1-3% for option

Decapeptyl injections experiences
Hi ladies, Going in few hours for my first monthly decapeptyl injection due endometriosis, and unbearable pain, while I'm waiting for a partial hysterectomy. I know that everyone's different, and everyone reacts differently, but can you please tell me about your experience with these injections?

Hysterectomy
Had a full
abdominal
hysterectomy
today at 10.30 to remove my large fibroid. Good riddens! Also removed cervix and ovaries to prevent further complications. I'm very sore but managed with pain relief. Consultant is going to speak to me tomorrow. Wish me luck. Thanks all for support.

Radiation
I had a hysterectomy in June removing 20cm tumor Grade 3 and other organs. This has been followed by chemotherapy, and I today finished 4th cycle out of 6 of carboplatin / taxol. CA-25 has gradually dropped to 18 from high in the 400s. Intermittent scans were vague saying images could be cancer or
