anyone here had bilateral salpingectomy before egg retrieval?
i have hydrosalpinx in both tubes and am getting them removed before ivf but worried it might reduce my ovarian reserve

Did anyone have bilateral salpingectomy before IVF?
both my tubes have hydrosalpinx (the left more severe than the right) and my doctor recommended taking both tubes out before starting ivf. Wanted to see if there are any other women going through the same with bilateral hydrosalpinx

Post ectopic pregnancy
Just wondering if anyone else had trouble conceiving after having a
salpingectomy
? And how long it took post surgery to conceive again? Im 36 and have only had one pregnancy in a year and a half of trying, it was unfortunately ectopic.

Any successful IVF with severe endometriosis?
Also gonna have
Salpingectomy
as my left fallopian tube was damaged and they said I will have higher chance for the IVF if they remove this. i had several blood tests and MRI too.

Back to work
I had a
salpingectomy
on Tuesday and I am potentially back to work on Sunday (Christmas Eve) I am a hairdresser and it’s mainly blow drys and it’s 4 hours. My employer is fine if I am off but I’m putting pressure on myself.

Excision surgery
However, I did not consent to damping
salpingectomy
bilateral as per year prior my dye tests revealed patent fallopian tubes so I couldn’t understand why cutting of the tubes would be considered as an option.

Ovarian mass continued...
Of course it is up to the clinical judgement of the surgeon at the time of surgery whether
salpingectomy
alone can be performed but this may or may not be possible.

Pain that worsens upon movement? And triggers longer episodes of pelvic pain if I’ve been lifting or especially walking anywhere.
Surgeon informed me that there was no significant scarring from c-section or any endometriosis when she performed the
salpingectomy
.

Desperate and feel so alone
I have been doing everything I can to manage on my own but the pain I am getting vaginally, rectally and around my right ovary ( I have also had a left
salpingectomy
and oophorectomy) has become intolerable. I am also really struggling with long covid & I am convinced there is a link.

Ectopic Pregnancy Trust - London Marathon
Our 2nd IVF attempt resulted in a live ectopic pregnancy (i.e. with a heartbeat) in January last year, and I had to go through the trauma of a
salpingectomy
(tube removal). The EPT were a fantastic resource at such a difficult time.

Salpingectomy operation
I'm due to have a
salpingectomy
op on my right fallopian tube. My private health care won't cover it as its linked to my fertility treatment (and that's excluded from my healthcare cover). Has anyone had this op privately? If so, where and how much was it? I've heard it's about £8k.

pain after laproscopy/salpingectomy
Hi All, I had my 2nd laproscopy for endo 2 weeks ago. No new growth found except on remaining fallopian tube which was also full of fluid. I felt amazing the first week after surgery but old pain on left side has returned where my remaining ovary is. There is a burning, crampy sensation that extends

when to implant after bilateral salpingectomy?
Hi All, Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on when best to implant, I had both Fallopian tubes taken out yesterday as they were both blocked/swollen due to past infection. We have 7 (untested) embryos in the freezer and was wondering when we could start implanting? We were told recovery time

Hydrosalpinx clipping going private? anyone experienced
female sterilisation, tubal ligation, tubal occlusion - which all seem to be the same procedure and outcome (clipping or tying of the fallopian tubes) but no where can I find "Hydrosalpinx Clipping" Complete removal of the tubes wasn't mentioned by the doctor, just clipping so I've not search for a full

How long does it take to start injections after first IVF appointment?
’re eagerly awaiting our IVF funding application and should hear back mid January 🤞 We’ve had all of our investigations completed and initially were told we could go ahead with the application about 6 months ago only to have our fertility nurse call us back and say that I had to have the bilateral

Question: Removing Fallopian tube due to fluid?
Salpingectomy
is the surgical removal of one or both fallopian tubes. That looks like next stage. Have you had this surgery? I am very interested to know about hospital time and recovery ladies. I have beautiful embryos but they never implant. Is this why??
