We’re eagerly awaiting our IVF funding application and should hear back mid January 🤞
We’ve had all of our investigations completed and initially were told we could go ahead with the application about 6 months ago only to have our fertility nurse call us back and say that I had to have the bilateral salpingectomy before we would be approved 👎
Now that’s all done and dusted we shouldn’t have anything else outstanding - could you lovely ladies give me a rough guide as to the timeline from your first appointment to your first injection?
I don’t have any other health/fertility implications as far as we’re aware!
Thanks so much 💕💕

Hi Emily, after a long wait we finally met with the Dr at the IVF clinic at the start of December.Had yet more blood test, an internal examination and the dr went through the IVF process.
Then on Dec 10th we had a zoom with our patient co ordinator who talked though the injections, egg collection, transfer day etc
You can pretty much start right away if all the tests are clear! We’re booked in for January 😬🤞🏻 Xxx
Honestly for me it was funding confirmed. Book in as soon as you want after your next period. I think we were offered to start in Dec but I chose January because of Xmas and the eggs were collected and fertilised in February.
That’s great to know thank you! Can you only book once you’ve had your period? I was secretly hoping we would be able to start in feb as I run like clockwork but knew it would be a long shot 😂
I can’t remember to be honest. I think they tell you to phone on the first day of your period. That or they work out what day you would be likely to have it and pick a date that works. It’s quite a long time ago - all I remember is it was really quick with no waiting!
