Hi Ladies. Cycle 5 resulted in a chemical pregnancy. I’ve gone back today and doctor has (with my savage stage 4 endo) said that liquid in the left tube might be stopping the implantation party. Salpingectomy is the surgical removal of one or both fallopian tubes. That looks like next stage.
Have you had this surgery? I am very interested to know about hospital time and recovery ladies. I have beautiful embryos but they never implant. Is this why??

Hi, I’ve had a bilateral salpingectomy due to endo. My consultant advised it was the safest way of making sure that bad fluids don’t leak into the uterus and upset implantation given my goal was pregnancy. I’m now 39 weeks pregnant with my second baby since, with a success rate of 2 BFPs out of 5 transfers.
I was home same day as the procedure and a little sore for a couple of days, but still capable of moving around and looking after myself. Back at work a week or two later. My scars are very discreet.
Hi VMJ> Yes, it could be due to excess fluid not being able to escape into the pelvis, and draining into the womb. It is believed that this fluid can prevent a developing embryo from implanting, so clip or remove is usually the next stage. Done via laparoscopy, so recovery time is usually quite quick. Good luck! Diane
