16 Months Today Smoke Free

June 8 2018 was it, I was done. And thankfully it’s stayed that way. 38 years of smoking 20 - 30 a day abruptly ended. Roller coaster ride for 8 months then settled into new normal. It’s doable!!! Put out that last one, toss the rest and don’t look back. No option, no cigs in the future, figure out something else to cope with life. I took up hobbies, explored new foods, joined new groups, tried yoga, tai chi, walking, singing, took on extra work, changed my entire morning routine, read, watched self help videos, listed to audio books, tried adult coloring, lifted weights, and learned new computer skills. Anything, anything but no cigs. Oh, and came on here. It worked!
