Day 4 of no smoking, its tough but I’m determined to finally do it this time. When did everyone struggle the most (1st week,2nd etc?) When did you find the cravings started easing?

Hi Louise2019, firstly well done for your 4 smoke free days.👏

Welcome to Quit Support💙 quitting is never easy but it's easier with a little support.💪

May I suggest that you read the pinned posts📌 there's lots of information there.

Please remember to drink lots of water to flush out the toxins and keep yourself 💦💧hydrated.

Quitting is a little like a rollercoaster ride with lots of ups and downs. No 2 quits are alike.

If you need anymore help or just a shoulder to lean on please don't hesitate to ask. There's always someone here.

Good luck with your quit.🍀🚭xxx

Hi Louise , welcome to Quit support. Well done on achieveing 4 days. Brilliant start to r quit journey. As for struggling with cravings there is no specific answer. Some people sail through their quit journeys and dont struggle at all. Others can start feeling cravings straight away or months down the line.

The majority of people try to change their routine and find this helps.

You have had good advice from the girls.

I will assign you your progress badge , and add your name to our database and wall of winners.

Lovely to have you join us. :) xx

Hi there, for me the hardest time was day 5 until day 13 I think. Feeling sick 🤮, and headaches 🤕, but I've been lucky as I've had no cravings. The cold turkey 🦃 method was the only way for me and I'm about to start my 5th week tomorrow. Well done though for the first 4 day's. That's a fantastic start. Keep it up, stay strong 💪 and take one day at a time. 😎

Purplehaze is spot on if you are quitting cold turkey. The first 3 days aren't too bad because you still have nicotine in your body. After that & for up to the next couple of weeks is all about nicotine withdrawal. From week 3 on it's all about overcoming the psychological triggers you have to smoking. That can take a while but you no longer dealing with a chemical addiction.

Well done on your quitting decision, for me things started to feel better after about ten days but I still get the odd bad day.

Everyone here have been so supportive when those days hit.

Good luck :)

Good morning, the first month was the worst for me. Keeping busy doing anything is quite good for forgetting about the habit. Anyway good luck and have a happy smoke free day.
