4 days down, and still NOPE, i'm feelin pretty good, i'll admit, today was REEEEALLY tempting, work was total bull, dealing with so many buttholes and drunks and tweakers, and let's not forget, the smokers, i sooooo wanted to light up when i got home tonight, but i didn't, i came home, changed into some fresh clothes, took a shower, and them came on here, this has become a very good outlet for me when my cravings start up, tonight, has been good, i'm not feeling the symptoms as much as i have these past few nights, i'm actually feeling pretty good, still haven't taken a proper dump in a couple days hope that part clears up soon, and it's still kinda hard to fall asleep, but for tonight, i think i'm good, still holding onto NOPE, and still holding strong
Day 4 Update: 4 days down, and still NOPE, i'm... - Quit Support
Day 4 Update
Hi hiro, just remember that smoking doesn't get rid of the drunks or tweakers so there's no point in lighting up π Smoking does in fact increase your anxiety and stress levels..... When can I have my next cig, where can I shelter from the rain, have i got enough to see me through the day, do I have enough money for a pack...... You are no longer chained to these thoughts ππππππππππππππ
amen to that buddy, that and this community keeps me strong, i want to stay strong, and like i said, today feels good
Well done hiro...each day you get a little stronger and better at being smoke freeππππππ
Hang in there hiro coz quitting really does throw our digestive systems out of sorts for a whileπ© my advice for that is prunes or figs (not to everyone's taste though) but it does the workπ
You're doing great and winning the fight against the nicotine monster, one day at a timeππΌπ
i was thinking about trying that, but what about Cranberry Juice? i know it's good for the Kidneys and i had Kidney Stones awhile back, and heard that would be good for me, but would that help with the digestive issues as well? also about my sleeping issue, it's been a little difficult to get to sleep at night, i have heard Insomnia is an effect of the withdrawals, but is it good to keep taking Nyquil to help get to sleep, they say you shouldn't take it for extended periods of time cause one ingredient, which is basically whats in Tylonol, is bad for your liver over extended periods of time? whats your opinion?
Hey Hiro
Good morningβοΈβοΈ
The drug in all these over the counter sleep preps is dimenhydrinate ( generic gravol) It can be very constipating... Although it does help with sleep......and dr's say it is not good for the liver over time....... I guess it's a persons right to choose what they use for various ailments etc....
After a month your physical symptoms will go away...... You're doing awesomeππππππ
yeah, i didn't take any Nyquil last night and found it difficult to get to sleep, i kind of don't want to take any more cause i don't want to get dependent on it, my dad is in that boat, he drinks some Nyquil every night to help him sleep, and i feel like if i keep at it, even after the physical symptoms from my withdrawals goes away, i'll still have trouble sleeping, it'll just become a new nicotine for me, which of course i don't want, so i'm going to try and lay off it
Hi Hiro,
My mom and my brother are bad sleepers as well... Maybe you get it from your dad or did it just start with quitting cigarettes ???
there were times when i just could not fall asleep, but they were rare, this mainly started with me quitting
Orange juice or prune juice, lots of fresh fruit and veg all should help but don't know about the NyQuil, don't think we have that hereπ³
i drink a glass of Orange Juice with my breakfast every morning, so hopefully that helps, i've never really had much prune juice, so i can't say whether or not i would like it, maybe i should try some?
Congrats Briarwood on another smokefree monthππ
