Hello manonthemoon, and welcome to quit support , thank you for joining us.

May I suggest you have a read through the pinned posts for information and tips.

These can be found at the top or bottom of the page, depending on which device

you are using.

After 6 months your throat should be getting back to normal. I would probably get it checked at your doctors, he may prescribe something like carboceisteine which help loosen any mucus , and therefore stop the sore throat feeling and coughing . Make sure you drink plenty of water. Its not impossible that your sore throat was there before you stopped smoking , and has appeared since. Smoking can mask lots of ailments.

Please let us know how you get on.

Well done on reaching 6 months , thats fantastic. :)

Please dont hesitate to contact us if you need any help.

We wish you luck with your quit journey.

:) xxx

Hi manonthemoon, as smoking can mask lots of ailments it would be advisable to see your doctor for your own peace of mind.

As Jilly says it probably is a good idea to get it checked out with your doctor.
