Hello Ethane,

Well done you! Your throat problem sounds like one you could have had if you had kept on wasting your money on cigarettes. Whatever it is, smoking is not the cure!

Look after yourself and if symptoms persist, see your doctor. Tell them you've stopped smoking and you might get a huge compliment and offers of help.

Hi Ethan and welcome to quit support😊

Over 2 weeks quit is terrific, so well done to you👏🏼👏🏼

Your body is healing and regenerating cells that have previously been attacked by smoking 4000 plus chemicals😩 please be patient as most side effects will pass. Suck some throat lozengers and drink hot water with honey. If it persists then it's wise to get a check up. Have a good look round the site as there's plenty of hints and tips to help. Are you using any NRT or are you cold turkey.

For your own peace of mind - do see your GP..When i quit my throat was on fire for a few weeks, i found just sucking on throat lozenges eased it. :O

Hi Prue1956, a big warm welcome to our quit support community :) and 4 days quit now, thats just ACE :) :)

Ermmm, I've not heard of the patches making people sneeze :o but as for the stomach cramps, patches tend to make us a bit erm, windy in the early days :o plus, when we first quit, our bodies go through a vast change ! this for some of us includes our bowls, they tend to slow down until our body gets used to our new smokefree life :) Soooo, maybe get something from your local chemist to help you go :) or what about grapes, chocolate raisins did the trick for me :D :D

I have your quit date as the 13th March :) if this is not right, could you please let me know and I will alter it for you :)

Good luck Prue, we are all here for you :) :)

Pete :)

Congratulations Ethane!!!! Great work on the quit.    Withdrawal symptoms vary person to person.  I had headaches, dizziness,  and coughs. But as most will  tell you,  time will take care of that itchy throat. You may want to gargle with warm water,  and salt, or have a  tea with  honey/ lemon, or cough drops.  I hope it goes away soon for you.

Sending vibes filled with all that's good. NOPE for us all :)
