I hoping that also. Anxiety and IBS is in the same family from what I've been told by the doctors. Now another thing the tap water really upsets my stomach not sure what thats about but quitting smoking is going good haven't touched one cig.

Sorry to hear this macman, but as Droopy says it may settle down given a bit of time☹️ your body may adjust to it. Do you have a water filter jug??? don't know if this will help but worth a try. Not expensive and it'll remove the bad stuff. You're doing great with your quit, well done🚭👍🏼 Onwards and upwards for better days ahead😊

Yeah I've cut a lot of food out i use to eat. Also the Fatty food I've cut out. But I'm wondering if its the tap water that doesn't help.

Hi there Macman, My daughter suffers with i.b.s. and yes its manageable. She has stopped eating lots of bread which seems to help her. Plus she has bouts of anxiety.

I think your doing fantastic with your quit. Hope the water filter works. :) xx

By the way there is an I.B.S network community with healthunlocked. May be worth a look.

hi jillygirl IBS and Anxiety sucks. I've cut out a lot of the food i use too eat such as fatty foods etc which has helped but now I'm thinking the water from the tap doesn't help because if i drink it i get pains in my stomach.

Hey macman great quit 👍👍

I've suffered from IBS for years and I when I first quit the stomach/digestive issues were almost crippling and I work shifts and have a job which can be stressful at times so I was not a pretty site 😂😂😜😜

Probiotics, gentle exercise, IBS friendly diet can help. Unfortunately there's not one diet that suits everyone as it depends how you react to certain foods. Keep a food diary to try and pinpoint what food triggers symptoms.

It's not much fun when it flares up but hopefully you will find out ways to manage it 👍

Xx

I posted about this last week, and I have quit for about the same to time as you. From what I've read on the internet and the comments I got on here it's most likely a side effect of not smoking and will go away eventually, though one person said it could take up to a year.

Stick with it and well done for not smoking
