Hi bernadeane,

Well done 11 weeks stopped that's brilliant you should be well proud.

I know what you mean by losing a friend or companion. There's a post on the right called friend or foe worth a read.

If u do get tempted go back to NRT instead of smoking.

Welcome to the forum! Everyone else is having a day off today! 🎄🤓😬😀

Hi Bernadeane, a big warm welcome to our lovely quit support community :) and WAYYYYY HAYYYYY look at you, now on your 11th week quit already :) :)

Yes Beradeane, you feel flippin PROUD gal :) :) cos we all know how hard it can be to quit :o and you flippin done it gal :) :) As for you not having a cough when you first quit, we are all different, our bodies are different, but the reason why most of us get the cough when we first quit, is our lungs clearing themselves out of all that flippin crud that we get from smoking :) But if your happy with the way you are, then let it be gal :) :)

I know how hard it is to let a friend go :( BUT, he is not a friend any more :( and you just remember that eh :) We have a mantra on here, ''NOPE, Not One Puff Ever'' :)

Bernadeane, if you have a look to the right of your post, you will see the Pinned Posts & Topics, just have a look through them, cos there's a wealth of help and advice their :) :)

Bernadeane, if you would be so kind as to let me know your quit date, then I can award you with a Winners badge and add you to the Wall of Winners :) :) Thankyou :)

You keep focused and positive on your quit and you wont go wrong gal :) :)

Take care now bernabeane and hope to speak soon :)

pete :)

Whooohoooo bernadeane 11weeks is an awesome quit😊😊🚭🚭🚭

As to a cig being a friend...... Your well rid, why would any of us choose a friend that we know just wants to kill us slowly!!! I sometimes think we need shaking .... Thankfully we have come to our senses and kicked the killer into touch😊

Good luck with your quit and keep us nice and close 😊😊
